Overall FabianMK2 reliability - which one is the best

Featured Replies

Hello All,

i am thinking to change to fabia from superb (dont laugh at me) and thinking about which engine and years are the better one.

I heard several engine types to have design failures, like 1,4 tsi, 1,2 liter.

Actually i am not limiting myself if diesel or petrol i would have. Dont want to spend so much money, around 7000eur.

so what would You say?

(for sure the failures which can be solved cheap, dont count...)

thanks!

In Hungary probably a 1.2 TSI built after 2012,

or a 1.6TDI CR that has not had the VW (Skoda fix), so no new engine management and flow thing fitted.

I assume you are down grading... I think you will be disappointed for a while.

Low millage 2010 1.9tdi with full service history. 2010 because that is the last year they were sold.

No DPF problems and other sensor problems that the 1.6tdi suffers from.
