Quick Question - TV and boot

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Looking to get a new TV and its a 65incher, anyone managed to get something of this since in their motor? I think it'll fit but dont want to be stuck in the car park with no where to put it!

Cheers,

J

Measure the opening, they work diagonally don't they in terms of TV size. That's almost 5.5ft so it could be a tight one.

Fingers crossed for you!

I measured and failed, the easy solution was a black cab as you can load through both back doors with 2 people and keep it stood up in the back all the way home.

Probably not much help but just order it online and get it delivered. Probably get a better deal too :tongueout:

Yeah on-line 719 pounds at Costco for a Tosh 65"

I’ve bought my last 2 TVs and all kitchen appliances from Ao.com - cheapest and great service.

Thanks guys looks like it wont fit then :(

Its a 65inch Hisense from Costco, its £599.99 instore only, good deal!

If you can get it in diagonally through the boot & twist it round onto the folded down passenger seats will it fit?

The last TV I transported was only 55" but I had to take out all of the packaging to fit it in through the boot apperature.

There was a bit of room once it was in & lying back down but perhaps with 65" the manoveuring to get it into the car in the first palce will be the difficult part.

Suggest you check on-line reviews for the TV - 'Which' regularly warns about buying 2nd tier makers, best stick with the likes of Samsung and LG, though they can also make the odd duffer.

Also just collected a 55", went in the boot okay (estate) but don't think there was a lot of room left

Does your local Costco do van hire by the hour?
