Hands Free On a RNS 315

Featured Replies

Hi new to the group and apologies for dredging up a common thread. I'm new to Skoda's and I want to just make sure I understand all the helpful tips on this forum, regarding turning on Bluetooth and hands-free.

So, I have a Fabia II on a 64 plate. It has come with the RNS 315 DAB radio and Sat/Nav, however, when I hit the phone button it just mutes the radio. Finally, the radio has a MAC code finishing 0A.

Am I correct in thinking that this model is Bluetooth and GPS equipped and all I need to buy is the microphone and find someone with a VCDS to turn the Bluetooth module on for me?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds about right, yes. The MAC code with all zeros means no Bluetooth fitted inside, while a string of differing numbers and letters means Bluetooth installed but may or may not be active.

Brilliant cheers for that. :)

I got the microphone today. It only took about 15 minutes to fit, which was great. Just need to find someone with the VCDS to unlock the Bluetooth. :)
