thanks ...more more more

The Quartz Grey doenst look right. it seems to have chrome on the windows in that picture

Ive just ordered an edition model and had the same pain, was all set on either metallic black or the Quartz Grey but then seen the white, not normally a white fan but I have went with the white.

From those pics the Black does look stunning as does the White

Just ordered a Sportline 2.0 TSI in Steel/Meteor Grey, but Quartz would have been my second choice I think.

Red.

Personally I like the business grey. Very striking. Would not touch black with a barge pole. Light grey primer shows every scratche and unless you clean it all the time it just looks dirty. Based on ownership of a black car!

Not sure what black car you've had previously, but Skoda's pearlescent Black Magic is as effective at hiding scratches as many of their other colours.

I've had Race Blue, Moon White, Steel Grey and Black Magic.

Of all those the Black Magic was the most durable, followed by the Steel Grey.

At 8 years old and 60,000 miles...

The current Moon White car shows the dirt just as much, if not worse than the Black Magic ever did...

I'm not exactly of fan of regular car washing either...

I’ve found black cars to be terrible for showing dirt and drying marks. I’ve also found flat white isn’t great, but metallic or pearlescent white is up there with silver for being good at hiding dirt.

Drying marks are an issue with black cars, especially when trying to wash them in bright / hot sunshine. They dry quicker than you can get to each panel.

At least until I discovered this; autosmart aquawax. Spray it on the car after the final rinse, whilst it's still wet, and then dry as normal. The water beads instantly so doesn't dry as quickly, and if it does there is something in it that prevents the white limescale spots...

And then I binned the leather chammy and bought a proper towel...

Job done, hassle-free black car ownership.

Appreciate you can buy products to improve the already laboursome cleaning process and remove the inherent marking black paint shows after washing but that is my point. I have owned many cars and many colours and black was a real pain personally and required more attention that the others. Hence my view. I do agree however the black pearlescent is a lovely colour but on someone else's car. Arguably because I do not have the time to show the attention it deserves to bring out the best of the colour.

I own a ford mondeo black right now. (Really black with mica-colour!). It is .... Difficult to keep clean.

.... BUT the Kodiaq i ordered will be black as well.

I believe the black metallic in the Skoda Kodiaq will be much easier to keep than the mondeo black, also to hide minor scratches from carwash etc.

My choise would be black (of course) or business grey.

Went for quartz grey for my kodiaq scout. Had a candy white octy vrs which I kept spotless to the point that it's going straight to the forecourt on the day it's part exchanged.

White cars aren't easy to keep clean but black is worse. Luckily I'm quite happy putting in the time to keep my car's clean but appreciate that others don't

is that really quartz grey? I am about to order a Karoq sportline and was going with quartz grey but that pic makes me nervous, looks like i will go with black going by the above

Yes, there are two greys, the lighter one is Meteor Grey, the darker one is Quartz Grey...

Meteor Grey...

There are lots of Quartz grey cars on Autotrader to look at.

So business grey is not grey?

Business Grey isn't available on the Karoq SportLine.

White.

cheers, yeah business grey is not available, would of been my choice as i seen a kodiaq sport over here in that colour and it looked stunning. I like the quartz grey in the generated configurator app but in the flesh it looks somewhat green - depending on the light/angle

I’ve gone for quartz grey for my Sportline (haven’t got it yet though). I do like the black a lot too but I have a black car now and fancied a change!

Yeah the picture you have posted of quartz grey Sportline is not right as it has chrome window surrounds should be black!

It's left hand drive, so a non-UK SportLine.

Being bias here but I've ordered moon white (due this week) because I think it sets the black mirrors/grill Etc off better than the others. Although I was torn between the white and the meteor grey.

I like blue, white and red. Wish they'd offer a larger variety of colors from factory. I browsed through the Czech configurator for Kodiaq and they had a much larger selection. Our civilized world is steadily becoming more and more drawn in shades of grey, and I just find it so dull with parking lots with nothing but grey and black.
