Delivery times

Featured Replies

I would imagine your dealer is right, it only effects certain build weeks, those after would probably be built, so the back log doesn’t get worse, unfortunately we have to wait till the suppliers of the seats make good their shortfall has well as the normal quantity for the build line weeks. What may be affected is that I hope we get preferential transport to the UK.

We've just received a dealer call to say ours now has seats fitted and is waiting for the train to Emden.

Looks like a mid April collection as we are on holiday in a few weeks.

Well I hope I get the same message today or tomorrow Nick especially we have the same dealer.

Something seemed to have worked because I had a call from customer relations, and she as now taking responsibility of my case.

So heres what she told me, there is a batch of cars part built all waiting rear seats at both factories, now one factory put entries on the system as they complete different stages of the build, the other factory which includes mine only update when it’s finished build and passed quality assurance, hence mine still shows build week 9 status 10. All the seats are on order to finish the builds to get the cars out ASAP. She hopes very soon.

I hope that helps.

That's good news Karman.

I wish once the seats arrive, they would expedite the shipping process to make sure this batch is dealt with on priority as they are already delayed!

Yes I agree which I said on another thread.

Did she say they would expedite?

No to be honest, I hope they use common sense and give us preferential treatment for the transport.

Let's hope so! I am still waiting for a call from my case manager, let's hear what he/she has to say!

Let’s hope they work the night shift and get our seats in.

You'd like to think that would be the case, good luck!

That is only if they have the seats right!

Right about having the seats, my vehicle is built at the other factory and different to Nicks, so mine will only get updated when it’s done. These things happen all I wanted was to be informed what was the problem and what was being done to recover it.

Exactly that's what am frustrated about.. in my case if the delay is going to be for months as I was told by some Skoda customer service people, I would cancel the order. I don't have the luxury to wait that long as I don't have a car now!!! So all I wanted was the update and how long is the delay going to be for!

Lets hope by next week, at the latest it’s all sorted and then it’s only been 1 to 2 weeks extra till we get our Karoqs.

Talked to my Skoda dealer this afternoon and he informed me that my car karqo se l 1.5 will be delivered 4weeks early

What week have you been given?

Yes fingers crossed

Finally I got a call from customer care, yes car is part built awaiting seats but they don't know the exact date they will arrive! Atleast bi now know someone is looking into it...

Has anyone been in a situation where they were offered a goodwill for delay?? Any chance to know what it would be roughly worth? Cos in my case they may give a courtesy car until delivery but then I choose the chance to get a goodwill gesture it seems!

so just wondering what would be a better option, they've put me through this stress so I want to make sure I do the right thing now!

I think the offer of a courtesy car is a very good one.

Imagine what it would cost you to hire a car for the next few weeks.

If you need a car in the meantime I would take it.

My dealer has mentioned some form of compensation but I don't know what yet.

That's what am thinking as well. But hard to make a call without knowing how long the delay is going to be!

We know that one factory is starting to get the seats in with Nick_P getting his, the trouble is I think mine is at the other factory to his

What am I missing here? Across all my Karoq groups, the seat issue has only cropped up in the last week to 10 days? If a car had progressed right through at the start of that 10 days, it still would be unlikely to be at a dealers now ready for handover?

I can see that if a car was delayed a month beyond that quoted on the order, and someone was stuck car less as a result, that might well warrant a loaner in the interim, plus a boot mat or something as compo.

Not sure how folks can be at that point now, unless their car had already been delayed beyond the ETA quoted with the order.

Its the fact that lack of communication and information off Skoda and the fact the computer system in my case never got updated, it still says bw9 status 10, the fact that Skoda probably only doing anything about it because of all the customers phoning them. We had to rely on people on here to try and keep us informed on the bits of information we gathered.

I was told my car was built in the middle of build week 8, we're now in BW11 and the car hasnt moved from the factory car park by the sound of it.

I was expecting it to arrive around now so 3 weeks delayed and no one can give me an answer on when I'll see it.

That's why I'm getting fed up.
