Erwin has some answers. Copyright though.

I have a number of problems / niggles which led me to research and I  came across Erwin.

i subscribed for an hour to Erwin - I have checked my car against the program.

I have found TPI (technical product information) about these faults -

my rear suspension knocking / hollow sounds.

Vibrating dash on acceleration.

Creaking front suspension.

Maybe you should have a look too, spend 7 euros.

What model do you have?

Interested re dash rattle - I've had it since new and spent ages trying to source it, and also had a dealer attempt and fail. Dealer charged £90 just for looking as it was over 6 months/6,000 miles old when I got to them. I've even removed the dash top speaker grille to investigate, with no luck.

Then by chance just two days ago whilst on a longer trip on my own, I played around for ages trying to find it, pushing pulling and prodding (ok thumping!)  various parts of the dash, and discovered that by closing the passenger side central vent, the vibration disappears!

I haven't had a chance to look at it any further in daylight but intend to dismantle if possible.

Thanks for the heads-up, just had a look & am now the proud owner of several TPI PDF's. ;)

Highly recommend this to anyone struggling to get a dealer to take any issue seriously - find the relevant TPI yourself (if there is one!), print it off & show it to them. For €7.00 it's well worth it.

Is there a fix for Creaking front suspension. ?

I'm putting together a MK3 buyers guide - if someone wanted to send over the PDFs that would be great. You can email them to [email protected]

Cheers

They are copyright and costs to access. Sorry but I’m not having VW solicitors coming after me.

I’d suggest subscribing to Erwin but it appears VIN specific.

Erwin is realy good i downloaded the technical manuals from there, i did not know thay show TPI, so i will be looking this weekend as my car is 3 years old in 6 months.

I have a log in for Erwin, looks like a gold mine of info....I'm waiting to get a quiet spare hour before paying up...I assume once paid for an hour you can grab as much stuff as you can as PDF ? I take it once downloaded there is no expiry on the files ?  Where do I find the TPI's, as they don't seem obvious from the menus...?

Many thanks

Nice that you found TPI's, but I have now spent  €7.00 and found repair manuals etc. but where do I find the TPI's?
When I enter my VIN I get the message "Not possible to call up vehicle data ..." (see screenshot), so I have to enter the car make manually (maybe this is why I do not get any TPI's).
From other forums I know that there should be at least one TPI regarding the problem I see on my car, and next week my car is going to the workshop, so I would REALLY like to find the related TPI before handing over my car.
Please help.
From the attached screenshot you can see that I try to search for TPI's under the "Technical Service Information", and I have tried just about everything else, but no TPI's found.
Can you please show/tell me exactly where you downloaded the TPI's?

Thanks 🙂

LOL
I see that it has been 6 years since Rybu79 wrote last time, so he is probably not going to reply to my posts 😀

Anyway someone might find this useful.

I finally found all TPI's related to my Skoda ENYAQ iV 80 (2023) using erWin.

The TPI  title related to my specific problem is: Clacking noises at load changes and/or change of direction

Transaction No: 2073406/2

ClackingnoiceTPI2073406.PNG.4148ab40da6127909a10f0e405528cc2.PNG

There is even a video illustrating the problem (clicking/clacking noise).

I will not post either PDF or video because of the copyrights, so if you want to read the TPI and watch the video, you are going to have to pay for at least an hour on erWin. Sorry 😉

It's really hard to figure out how to download the TPI's but watching a Czech video tutorial i finally figured out how it works.
From erWin (using Microsoft Edge browser) you can open another online app from where the TPI's are available.

Note: You have to enter your vehicle VIN or car make and mode before doing so.

Openapp.PNG.18cabac1ae79f5b3eacd4b7c40d8b12b.PNG

From that app you click "Technical Service Handbook" in the "Workshop information" drop-down as shown below.

Repairandservivinginformationapplication2.thumb.PNG.162006991497a5992083a437e9ebe7d4.PNG
You can then see all the TPI's related to your specific vehicle

Remember to select the right tab in the bottom of the window. One shows just some additional information and one shows the actual TPI.
Note also that some of the TPI's have a video tab and some an attachment tab (sorry for the screenshot below. You can just make out that there is a tab bar at the bottom of the image).

Sorry for the double screenshot in the bottom of the post and maybe some spelling errors 🙂
