is it possible on the passat b8 that the camera icon also shows on the virtual cockpit and not only on the main unit?

Hello, I see that the files from this update are smaller than previous ones. Is it due to more efficient data format or are some data missing ? Also, have you had any feedback on this new issue ? Always grateful for your efforts on this and thank you once again !

Unfortunately, I have no experience of the virtual cockpit so have no idea.

I would say it's due to the merging of some categories and one of the icons being removed along with the ( invisible to the end user ) camera description data being edited by me when compiling them that's made them smaller in size. Overall the actual camera locations should be the same taking into account any removal or addition of cameras. No negative feedback so far but in any case I will be uploading very shortly a new compilation which will be in the usual original format thanks to a new contributer.

Many thanks for another update. FC

Thank you for the latest update.

thanks bigade1 dependable as ever!

Many thanks, BigAde!

Latest Updated Speedcams - July, 2025.

Here's the latest update of my customised version of EUR Speedcams ( July, 2025 ). They consist of the full EUROPE speed cameras which I've split up into four consolidated poi categories i.e. Redlight Speedcams, Fixed Speedcams ( which now include European tunnel speedcams ), Average Speedcams and Variable Speedcams. They come supplied with my own preferred personal choice of icons, shown below, to match each of the speedcam categories. Remember to Install them as I explained in the first post in this thread i.e. after extracting the zip file remember to open the newly extracted folder and place only the PersonalPOI folder and metainfo2.txt file onto your sd card ( Please Note: a usb stick will not work! ). Also, please remember to select/tick the relevant newly added poi categories and the poi audible warning alert in your infotainment map menu settings after performing the update or they will not display on your map or audibly alert you. Hope you all enjoy them!

Hi Brigade

I have used your files for years always with great success.

I tried this one on my car and my wife's and for some strange reason the cameras are shown but not all register with the alarm sound. Some do some don't. Never had this before .... Have I done something wrong?

Both our cars have the latest EU/UK Skoda maps installed .

Any advice will be gratefully received . Thanks

Hi assybish - sorry to hear about your issue. I actually have the audible alerts turned off for my normal driving but I've had a quick test passing 4 known cameras in my locality and the audible warning worked as expected in both directions. Admittedly the alert was low in volume and it seemed to me as if the alert distance was a bit further away from the camera location than I expected but that's the standard settings. I would firstly suggest doing a hard reset of your entertainment unit. On the Amundsen MIB2 you just press and keep holding the power button until it knocks off but do not release the pressed button until the unit's splash screen turns back on. It usually takes about 15 to 20 seconds. This procedure does not alter any settings or change anything else so is perfectly safe to do without any consequences. I normally delete my current stored speedcams from the unit before I put my new ones on to avoid any possible data corruption. Are you doing the same? Failing that the only other suggestion I can make is to try a new redownload of my files just in case your original download had a slight corruption.

Strange goings ons.

I have been using the same Skoda sd card for ages now just to update the speedcams without any problems.

I have to eject the map sd card as my Fabia only has 1 slot. Input speedcam sd card only withthe personal poi folder and metainfo2.txt file.

When I go to Nav, just get message"Navigation database not available"

Any ideas please, thanks FC

Top Man bigade1 very useful

Thanks a lot for sharing the data. Unfortunately I am not able to get this installed in my Seat Leon 5F.

Navi-Version is: V03959823AL / 2510 / ECE DL2 2026
Leon is from 2015 (but already the 2016 model) with the "standard navi" not the bigger one. Should be MIB2 should'nt it?
I tried to install by copying the whole donwload to an SD card, I tried to install by only copying the content from the MIB2 folder and my third try was copying only the content of the MIB2HIGH folder. So I always had a "metainfo2" file in the root of the card with different folders and subfolders. But none of them worked. Card is shown as "software update" in my car. But during update I always get an error saying: There are no data available.

Would be happy if there is anyone able to help. Let me know if you need more details about my navi.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Markules

@francischase I'm sorry I've got no idea why this is happening to you - maybe a corrupt download? Try my latest ones below.

@Markules1981 I'm really sorry but I've got no experience with the Seat Leon.

Lot of radars are missing in my area compare to July 2025 version. It is useless now for me.

I'm sorry to hear that but that's out of my control. I'm using the same database ( SCDB ) from the same contributor as the July ones. I would revert to using the July ones for now and then check them again in my next upload. That's not saying they will return though - that's out of my hands I'm afraid.
