Just read a thread on UK MKIV's from a guy that had a race with an RS taxi - he's from Chesterfield.

Anyone we know??

He drives a 130 TDi Golf and reckons he overtook him a couple of times - I replied saying the RS obviously wasn't trying :lol:

I thought Baaheed was the only one with an RS taxi, but he is up in Scotland...does this mean there is another one out there? And soes this mean another owners group 'RS Taxi owner'???

the dead cert give away would be - Yellow vRS c/w taxi sign and Christmas tree hanging out of back window in January.

The guy is now backtracking saying it might not have been an RS :lol:

It may have been my rs taxi, Mine is red and goes like the clappers, Had it remappped by some backstreet garage but it often sounds like its going to explode, still its good for 150mph.

There is an RS taxi in sheffield, we've nodded to each other on previous occasions, a red one, he could have very well been in Chesterfield, (we didnt race, were in traffic, just checking out the cars.....) white guy......

No as my skin is multi coloured.

I did however hit 77 mph this evening in 2nd gear I thought the rev limmiter was never going to cut in.

Passengers commented on the smell of the steaming hot engine on my next pick up but I assured them that everything was in order.

There used to be a black Octy RS estate taxi knocking round Doncaster last year. he was always getting pulled over by the cops for speeding IIRC.

im from northampton and theres a red Octavia Vrs taxi, i nod to the bloke when i see him and spoke to the bloke in a petrol station once.he is wellproud to be the fastest taxi in northamptonshire.

Not much blimmin' use over there though, more speed cameras than roundabouts over there even

i've seen that red taxi. what car do you have? i live near northampton.

Anyone know where I can get the WRC spoiler, I had a look on www.milotec.de they show the car with the spoiler but don't list it in the items for sale.

i've got a silver oct VRS, getting a bit annoyed though when i got mine 1 other in northampton now theres about 10, most of them standard which is fun when we meet on the A45.

silver as well, but standrad on a 03 plate.

mines a 53 plate, i actually live in the town of northampton,load of boy racers in the town always getting geeed up.missus was in the car the other day and a lad in a new golf GTI gave it the big one at the lights next to me,as i pulled away clutch slipped and he got a bit ahead, not for long though, it was only the missus giving me a verbal slapping that made me slow down.
