Issue with steering wheel juddering after car has been turned off.

Featured Replies

Newby here.

I purchased my 2013 1.6 cr tdi Skoda Superb Elegance greenline 2 about two months ago. I absolutely love the car and pretty much everything about it. However I have noticed a couple of times now that when I turn the car off the steering wheel judders quite dramatically until the ignition is switched back on. Has anyone else seen this issue. Some help would be gratefully appreciated.

P.s I bought the car from a used car dealership and not a Skoda garage. It had a full service which I can confirm did happen but I am unaware of which fluids were used.

I'm guessing the greenline doesn't have park assist so I am baffled.

It does have park assist on it. It works just fine as well. It's only after the engine and ignition has been switched off that it happens and has only happened twice.

The park assist motor is the only thing I can imagine that could do this.

As for a cure...no idea sorry

There isn't a special motor for park assist, it uses the same one as the electric power steering.

Can you get a video and has it been scanned for fault codes with VCDS or similar?
