Why colour suits the Superb best? Some pictures would be great to see real ones rather than on the configurator

Agreed Svend. And to me it's also very product-specific. Can't wait to see Penguin's meteor grey Sportline - it seems to be a brilliant colour for that model from the few photos I have seen - but I co

Plenty of good pictures on the sticky at the top of the board. Some colours  seem to photograph better than others, and of course it's completely subjective at the end of the day. Love my quartz grey - but others might find it dull.

Yeh undecided between business or quartz grey...

Have a look at different colours in different trims and also hatch vs estate.  For instance I prefer a L&K or SE L in Quartz Grey but I don’t like it as much in a Sportline.  In contrast I prefer Business Grey in a Sportline to the same colour in a L&K or SE L.

I also think a few colours look great in the hatch but not as good in the estate, and vice versa.

You think it would be easier with a limited colour palette but I actually think it’s harder to chose.

Going for L&K 220 TSI Hatch for sure, with black interior, so quartz grey might be an option

Looks great IMO.  The quartz grey is a nice colour and has a good contrast with the chrome trim.

Shall I leave the stock anthracite rims or for the 19s anthracite?

I fancy brown leather but need to see it in the flesh/

I've got this combination on my 190 TDI L&K and I think it looks like the dog's danglies. Had black magic on the previous SII and it looked fantastic for about one day a week.

Re brown leather  - not sure it is available any more

do you have picture of the outside and the inside?

On a phone at the moment so can't sorry. Will put some on here tomorrow. There are a couple of the outside on the owners sticky at the top of this section (from mid-January) and another on the recently cleaned thread (posted last month I think) if you want to have a trawl through them.  It's actually worth looking at both. The January ones are with the dealer LSP and look a bit flat IMHO. The March one shows it with several further coats of wax and I think it looks a lot better.

I love my Quartz Grey but probably would have gone with Petrol Blue given the choice.

Magnetic Brown all the way! We were going to order Business Grey until we saw the brown outside in the sun. It's different in different lights. It can range from black to almost copper.

Moon white..... but I’m going to say that lol.

must say if I was buying new it would be meteor grey.

Magnetic Brown looks fantastic, had one for two years. But just as bad to keep clean as a black car. Would love to see Emerald Green in the flesh, but being a dark colour I bet it shows scratches/dirt just like the brown/black. I’ve ordered Business Grey. It’s dull, but that and Cappucino Beige are very, very easy to maintain.

If its a sportline then they look the part in black with all the black detailing.

Colour and style is so subjective isn't it? I think the all black look is just very drab; much prefer a bit of chrome bling on view. Mind you this limited colour choice thing is not just Skoda. I have been looking at the new Volvo XC40 for SWMBO and the choice there is really dismal and not all the limited colours are available across the range. Marketing madness just like not being able to downsize wheel sizes when you can always upsize; what is that all about?

Brown ain't that bad regarding dirt - from far away you'd be hard pressed to notice the dirt. The real problem with that color is that scratches are really easy to see. Touch the car with your bag? Visible scratch. Hit the door on something? Oops, door has an ugly discolored edge. Kid running around the car? Yup, visible scratches.

I've got the L&K estate in metallic black which looks great when clean and all polished up, esp with the 19" wheels gleaming underneath.  10 mins on the wet roads and its filthy again though!

I think the car looks great in most colours apart from the red which looks very drab.

The Sportline looks tremendous in white - that's what I've got my eye on next time!  I saw one in that lime green colour the other day and it looks good too, but I think it's a bit too garish for me.

It is a matter of opinion, and for your car the only opinion that matters is yours.

Make sure you see one in the metal, was going for business grey (which we test drove) but they had a petrol blue one standing there when we got back and seeing the two together made it an easy decision.

As promised, a couple of my quartz grey L&K with black interior. The first was taken on the way home from the dealer in January. To my thinking it looks a bit "flat" - that might just be the light or my rubbish photography though.

The one below is from about 4 weeks ago. I wanted a bit of time to (procrastinate) have a think about how I would look after it (ceramic coat v wax etc) so I put a coat of high-street wax on it every fortnight just to make sure it wasn't too badly damaged by the salt, grit and other nasties that it was being subjected to each day. This picture is much more representative of what I actually see when I look at the car. One of the reasons I like the Quartz Grey is that it changes colour depending on which angle you look from - but I suspect others will say the same of their metallic colours.

I've actually only got one (terrible) photo of the inside, taken by the dealer. The photo doesn't do the interior justice - it's a really nice place to be.

I'm not saying this is the best combo - but I like it.:)

That Looks Mint Mate. I think I am convinced to go for Quartz rather than business

Im still kind of on the fence and also fancy a Passat GT 190 tdi , it cones with active info display and panoramic sunroof as standard price is about the same

Can't comment on the Passat - it was always going to be another Superb for me. But I've read that some on here who have the Skoda sunroof have had problems with rattles etc, so it would be worth checking out what the Passat owners are saying about theirs. If you do go with a Skoda, I think IJWS15's advice above is very sound. If you can see the different colours side by side that is a great way to help you decide. Either way - enjoy. Its a really nice problem to have.

I was standing in the sun a couple days ago, watching the Kwik-Fit tech backing my car out of the alignment bay. He had to do about a 10-point turn to get it out, the car park was so jammed. I waxed it a few days ago, and as he was slowly spinning my car around in front if me, gleaming in the sunlight, I thought that's a beautiful thing! So, here's a vote for red.

The only other colour I would have selected would have been the Dragon Green, because I like a colour. Something I can pick out in a car park. Black is beautiful, but you can not keep it clean for more than two hours. White on a car this size makes it look even more huge. And then you have shades of grey, which is what the Škoda configurator has become.

I know people tend to get more conservative with age, but I'm fighting it. I wear loud ties, too. (Well, I have one.)  :D
