Going to bleed the hydraulic dot 4 fluid from clutch nipple as I ve got kit out to do another car.

 

When rear brake lines were disconnected and bunged with stopper, to do rear axle bushes, and bled there was a noticeable improvement in getting 2nd gear. Always a problem when engine cold from when bought car.

 

Search reveals it is under air intake on Fabia vrs 1? Accessible from above engine bay? Please confirm. Is this referring to the hose after air box containing MAF sensor? Is there a bleed nipple on master cylinder under brake reservoir? Am I likely to see any further gains bleeding clutch? Would bleeding brake calipers flush the fluid in the clutch?

I'm checking power steering fluid reservoir fluid level while I'm at it , so need to take out battery and its undertray. If only they put power steering fluid in clear reservoir I could have judged the level when I had wheel arch cover off! It is instead opaque green.

The bleed nipple will be on the slave cylinder on top of the gearbox so yes it will be hard work without removing air box.

Located and worth changing the fluid. Looked dark despite doing brake fluid recently. Gave car a quick drive down road. Reverse was smooth, 1st and 2nd. 

I think 2nd gear has some issues but they were lessened. Btw battery does not need removing. Can be accessed without removing anything. If air duct to air filter is moved then a couple of torx 6 star t25 or tt25will help.

nipple is 9mm if I remember correctly. Some air came out but this could be air getting past threads. The fluid ran clear later without air bubbles. 200ml bled. M cylinder topped up.

 

2nd photo shows location of clutch bleed nipple. Look for a rubber cap on a black bleed nipple.
