I have a 2007 Skoda Octavia Mk2 L&K AT. I had gone to the market yesterday and parked the car as usual, after 10 mins when I came back, I inserted the key in key hole and it stopped turning. It wasn't going to ON or ignition position at all. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it thinking it will reset some sensor and might make it work but to no avail. It was 10 pm in the night and I called for a crane to take it to Authorised Service Center. Left the car there and next day morning got a call from them. They diagnosed the issue and gave an estimate to replace barrel, lock set and lock set cover etc. Estimated cost INR 20k. Can anyone please tell me if that's the usual cost or is it inflated?
