Fuse 14 keeps blowing

Featured Replies

Hi all.

My key fob and windows stopped working yesterday.  After a little detective work I found that fuse 14 was blown. I popped down to halfrauds and picked up a pack of fuses but every time I put the new one in it blows. Any ideas where to start? I would think it may be water ingress causing a short but its been hot and dry.

Thanks

Robb

fuse 14 is the one that can affect lights too, right?

Check all interior lights, especially if you have cheap ebay LED's. You have a short somewhere.

If okay, the top interior light has 4 clips that you pull towards the center, and two philips screws in the middle. Its worth checking the wiring loom to ensure there is no shorted/melted wires

The rear boot area suffers from ingress too (you will know this if you;ve ever had the bloody rear wiper stay on) - perhaps disconnecting the rear central locking motor would help.
