Software update for vRS245

Featured Replies

Anybody know what this software update is for, I'm being told it's fixed my cold start issues but, I haven't collected the car as yet.

Someone else must have had a service done on their car by now, what's the update for ?

De-tunes it to 220PS...

I had the update for stop/start not that long ago.... don't know if that was part of a cumulative fix?

Revs now limited to 3750 for emissions reasons

I've got an i30 N Performance on demo atm - now THAT sounds epic!! Basically an ASBO on wheels.

Have had start/stop update 2 weeks ago. It fixed the start/stop error. Nothing else appears to have changed.

Limits top speed to 70MPH! NO COLD START ISSUES for me, sure it not that DTUK tuning box causing more problems as stated by other folk on here.

Agree mine had the AmD software update in March and it fixed the tardy acceleration of the standard car and removed the Hans Stuck 250KPH top speed limiter.:biggrin:

My stop/start works just fine and never seen an error code for anything!

Currently at 10,393 miles in and no oil used since re-map in March. Just checked service indicator and says 1st service due in another 7,500 miles.

Stop start update?    Is that for the stop/start just not working sometimes and getting the "stop start system error" on the head unit screen?    I get that!

Hopefully by now the OP has had the answer to what the software update was for after asking the Dealership that did it or Skoda UK that paid for it being done.

'Simply Clever' it is nice to talk.

How much power do they put out ?

Sorry not to come back sooner I've been busy

Car seems fixed on the cold start issues but, both DTUK boxes are not currently fitted, due to a lack of time. God I miss them & a busy weekend means it could be middle of next week before they get refitted.

However, the good news is NOTHING has shown up in the service, no TD1 or TB1 flags for me & a rattling MFSW roller baseplate has been silenced.

The basic version has 247bhp and the top model has 271bhp.

I'm only interested in smiles per mile

Guy in a black new Audi TT wasn't smiling when I blasted past him on my way home yesterday, still averaged 42MPG, BEST OF BOTH WORLDS.:D

shyVRS245,

As to 'average' mpg,    i never quite understand that being given.

Does it go 49.8 miles and use 4.546 litres of fuel, or can you do 2 X 26 mile trips and use 1 gallon or just about that?

If you put in 10 gallons is the miles you can cover 498?

New Black Audi TT driver thought there is that Tw-At with a remapped Octavia 245 that is regularly  posting about how it can do 3 times the NSL

and take faster cars like he is a king while they have no idea they are in a race..

Photo's posted from one week ago and today giving a total range of 475 which divided by 10.99 gallons or 50 litres is an average of just over 43MPG, which is more than the trip computer is currently estimating. The TT driver was definitely trying as he overtook me first approaching a roundabout. You know I love you despite the compliments you keep giving me.

Yes, there's a thread on here with the technical bulletin details. Software fix and then it just works as it should.

Hi. I’ve searched the forum but struggling to find this.

Any ideas of where is located. Maybe my poor searching!
