Rattling Sound Rear of car?

Featured Replies

A 'ticking noise' appears to be coming from the rear wheel LHS?, have looked cannot see anything obvious,

Ive recorded the sound from inside near the parcel shelf, which you can hear after the seatbelt warning beep (doesnt happen when stationery) , the frequency of the rattle increases as the speed increases. Have not gone above 40 mph just in case its something serious?

First thing this morning it had rained and was quite loud, now its not so loud. Really weird

First off check those wheel bolts. Tightness,   then wheels wobbled for any wheel bearing issues,

Especially if the seating was not cleaned off after the wheels were powder coated.

Best get the wheels off anyway and check things out.

Are the inside walls of both tyres OK.

No Screw in the tread of a tyre ?

You were right had a screw on the inside wall, yanked it out luckily gone in 45 degrees into the thick part of the tread! measured tyre pressure 31psi so all ok for now!

thanks!
