How to stop my superb saying GOODBYE

Featured Replies

Help!!!

Hi there, i have recently bought a second hand 09 skoda superb, i really like the car but i am desperate to turn off the "GOODBYE" voice that the car says when i turn off the ignition, i find it annoying and also it wakes my baby daughter when she's  sleeping.

Is it possible to turn off? Any help would be greatly appreciated as my friends also make fun of me every time i turn off the car.

Thanks, Ross

A warm welcome to the Forum Ross !   Hope someone comes up with the answer soon, sounds simple but perhaps put it in the Technical section as well.

Welcome to the forum. I never knew Superbs could talk and have never come across anybody mention anything like this.

Does it say Hello as well?

Are you sure its not coming from something aftermarket like a stereo for example?

It sure does.   It's a HAL 9000 Stereo system

Thanks, mine says connecting not goodbye. Would there be a way to diassable the voice?

I must add that 'The Girl' on my 2017 Octavia suddenly announced there were 'Roadworks on the A4'  yesterday while I was driving in Bristol.  She didn't mention any of the other roadworks I had passed and she didn't tell me when we were going home.  For those of us in Bristol, it is the mammoth work going on at Temple Gate until late next year.  Metrobus?  I might add I was using the Satnav at the time as I know my way around there.

Sorry - I should have said I was NOT using the Satnav>

Welcome to Briskoda, wish mine said goodbye, all I get on the infotainment system is welcome to Skoda or on the mfd check safelock.
