Black alloy wheels...

You, NZPete, are a very good man! Now that I've seen the Braga's in black on your motor, they really suit, especially given your vehicle's white. I wonder if they'd look as good on my Meteor Grey number? Did you have them gloss or matt/satin? Same question for the spoiler and mirrors. I can't quite tell from the pic. But it'd sure save a lot of mucking around (and expense) if I could find someone here in the UK to do the same (and I'm sure there are p-l-e-n-t-y of places). Many thanks for sharing the pic :)

  • Thanks for the response Offski. Have thought of that, but I don't think the Bragas will look as good (for me) as the "Mytikas" alloys, or any other number of alloys I've sussed out on wheel/rim websit

I went for the matt/satin personally and they have been fine with regard to brake dust, and also for the mirrors and spoiler.

A thing of beauty! Much appreciate the extra photos NZPete. They do indeed look 'the business' in the matt/satin finish. My SEL already has matt/satin spoilers and side-skirts, so that'd probably work. Will rub chin for a while and then start looking online to see who does this kind of thing in my locale. Again, much obliged

and then added running boards and mudflaps. When to stop with the extras ? Think it will look really sharp with the Meteor Grey. Anyway we are on holiday in Melbourne and it is bedtime here so all the best with your decision. Cheers.

Sweeeeeeet! Running boards are not for me as I've got a damaged leg, and it's hard enough sometimes to get into or out of any vehicle! Hence one of the main reasons I chose the Karoq 'cause I can just, literally, step in and out with ease. Mud-flaps look nice on yours with the black-and-white thing going on. Not sure they'd work on mine. BTW - one of my daughters lives in Melbourne and, for half my life (on and off), I grew up and lived in Perth

Black wheels with a very so strong white body colour are creating a too high contrast for my eyes to focus on what is beautiful. Such rims I would prefer with a black body colour.

sorry, what are you saying ? "very so strong " and "beautiful " what do you mean ?

Sorry, I mean that the contrast between the black of the wheels and the pure white of the car seems to me too strong.

You have a point there. It does give the car a bit of a tough guy look. Some like it, some don't. The dark wheels do make it more difficult to see the brake dust - no need to fiddle about between the spokes when washing.

Niiiiice.. Think the black and business grey go great together.. Mine being done in a couple of weeks!  Cant wait now!

Something doesn't look quite right when the wheels are darker than the tyres.

Quartz Grey.

Business is the lighter shade.

Then there’s primer grey for those who can’t decide on the top coat colour.

Nanuqs are ET38, aren’t karoq wheels ET45?

Yes, ET45, except for the 6J x 16, which are ET43.

Ooh - that's a bit sexy! Love the red callipers. Would like to get the same done to my (maybe not red though). Too much effort plus, for now, I've spend waaaaay too much already! Maybe in the summertime. The black alloys really make the callipers pop, and I like the colour of your wagon too

Cheers! Also had the hubs done as they looked unsightly with the rust on them.. All in for everything cost £390
