MY2019 vRS orders who's got what coming?

Featured Replies

I was told today my MY2019 vRS 245 is now in the UK and ships to the preparing dealer next week. Told approx time to be delivered to me hopefully in 7-10 days. Made me feel a little more confident given the WLTP delays.

Who else has one on order or any approx dates yet?

Will I be the first on Briskoda? :)

A 245 in Meteor Grey with:

ACC

DCC

Canton

Kessy

Park Assist

Heated: Windscreen, Washers and Steering Wheel

Virtual Cockpit

Light Assistant

Lifeshine

Folding mirrors

I might be changing the colour though I'm getting a tad of grief from SWMBO about the Grey, If I can change it, it'll go to Race Blue.

Great spec that!

Mine is Red with whatever comes standard for 2019 plus the space saver spare, adopted a pre-existing factory slot. The skoda pdf price list link recently posted seems to tell me park assist comes standard now for instance. Mine is a 2 year PCH deal through a broker with VWFS.

I'm hoping to get one ordered fairly soon, I'd missed that about park assist though. Nice spot.

Good luck too you all, shame about the single exhaust due to the GPF

Thanks. Oh well, being a long term hire I'm not in a position to mod anything. It will remain 100% as ordered. My 1st gen leon cupra I owned myself outright from new many years previously certainly did not stay standard lol I'm returning to VW group driving after more than 10 years away (just moved out of London, was zero point keeping a nice car there which just sits losing money and not being used)

Its on the skoda configurator as an optional extra, would be a nice suprise if it was standard but as Ive seen it the last couple of days its a £300 addition.

Guessing their price list/options is incorrect then. Clearly showing a solid black dot :) I'll be sure to let everyone know for sure soon. I can park the car just fine myself it was more to help to prevent my wife modifying it.. She has form!

I hope so! The dealer got their 245 estate delivered yesterday, im calling i  today so I'll have a look. At the moment park assist is showing as a £600 extra, which is a lot!

That would be good to know.. If it doesn't please tell them to update their misleading price list! :)

What worries me the most is if that is wrong, and its a prerty glaring error, then what else is wrong. I know specs are subject to change and theres plenty of weasel words written down but where do you draw the line on such a change. Im going past there today anyway so I'll see if I can find out, knowing the level of knowledge in these places I'll probably have to look at the car and its factory number. They should have a spec sheet i guess!

Thanks guys for pointing that out, at the moment I've paid £255 for Park Assist, so I have literally rung up Garlands in Aldershot and asked them to check it out, because if that's correct and it's included then that's not an inconsiderate £255 saving, which will help lower my repayments slightly.

Let me know what they say. BTW Garland is my local dealer, I'm in Farnborough, they aren't supplying mine it's through Lancaster Milton Keynes dealer near VAG head offices

Also found another glitch, I was able to specify a heated steering wheel and yet the brochure says I can't.

Now this could have rather awkward connotations, as the configurator and brochure are saying different things and it's not fair being told one thing and ordering it and then finding its not forthcoming.

If those two items aren't coming that gives me £355 of a refund.

SUK really do need to get their act together on this.

Dealers demo does not have park assist as standard

Simons beat me to it but yeah Ive just been sat in the brand new MY19 estate in the dealers. No park assist as standard but uts still showing as standard on the most up to date spec sheet. The sheet does show paek assist as £225 like @TheWanderer states above but the configurator says £600 now. Bit of a mess really. They worked me out a rough quote and it came out as £371 a month with my car (around 1500 estimated equity come march time) and a £1k deposit. Without the extras Id say probably nearer £310. Im not paying £370 a month so we will need to work that out amongst ourselves when Skoda finance catches up.

Overall impression of the new model is that its not a huge leap visually from my 16 plate. The seats are much nicer and the fake leather has gone. Some rough dash plastic has been replaced by piano black scratch-o-matic gloss plastic. They have put bew LED lighting in the doors and panels but left the main interior lights as the old dull yellow which was a disappointment. The aux port was absent. There is a daft white sticker above the aircon controls that looks really out of place. This one didnt have the virtual cockpit sadly but it appears almost everyone is speccing that now according to the stealer.

Tome will tell, obviously they are expecting a huge wait time for factory orders. He was telling me his angst about wltp and the bother it has caused along with some kind of factory issue with the smaller TSI engines.

All that might play into consumers hands, heres hoping they put 0% on to sweeten future deals. Apparently theres a £700 bonus for anyone registering a new car this quarter, which in 99% of cases is likely impossible to be fair.

So yeah an interesting trip out, hopefully skoda will sort the spec issue out. I know the spec you order and what you actually get is subject to change but where is the line drawn? Park assist is standard, no its not its £225, oh actually its £600. Wheres the limit? The new diff is standard, oh wait no....

I have changed my order now, SWMBO didn't like the grey, I was 50/50 with it and in the end I asked them to amend it to good traditional Race Blue, I love blue and SWMBO is now much happier.

The specification other than the colour remains unchanged though. Garland's have advised me that they'll notify me if there are any issues with the configuration, but as far as they're concerned the specification is fine.

Does the vRS come with any parking sensors standard then? My18s spec showed rear I'm sure?

I've ordered nothing but Father Christmas knows where I live ..... and if he turns up with an empty sack then I'm barbecuing Rudolph

Not sure, just had a phone call from Garlands and they're getting mixed messages from SUK over the inclusion of Park Assist, but the brochure says one thing (£255), configurator says £600.

Now AFAIC I've signed the deal off for the PA at £255, I will not be amused if SUK try and increase the price by £345! Best thing to do is visit the dealer and ask.

Basically I think it obvious someone messed up on the price list, I'm guessing it should be an option for the reduced price but then the configurator is more. My car will come with whatever is fitted in the factory. If the dealer doesn't know who does? Lol

The current download of the UK pricing and specs document says that the Scout is a Hatch, which is an indicator to me of how carefully they've checked that document for accuracy.
