I've bought a Nissan 350Z Roadster.

Now I've stopped grinning like a Cheshire cat and generally calmed down a bit I thought I'd gather all the gossip from various thread together and tell you all what I've done.

Having gone to the Nissan dealer purely to go wheel kicking in a 350Z I've bought one.

Morale of the story is - dont go wheel kicking!

I was very pleased with the car after my initial wheel kicking session and took the salesman up on his offer of a car for the day on Saturday. I'd originally planned to have a coupe on the day but it had been sold to someone else so I ended up with the roadster instead.

After an hour or so or driving around at random, Hannah turned to me and said "do you want to buy one then?".

There is a new model coming out in May that is a little more expensive but has the "rays" wheels as standard. Effectivly what they've done is raise the price by

Congratulations :)

You sucker.

Hannah is far more savvy than you Phil by the sound of things.

Enjoy the Octavia:D

Nice!! Do the coupe ones have rear seats or are they 2 seater?

You bought a Nissan 350z? Would never have guessed :P

I thought of you while in the dealership, Colin. They have a lovely Navara ;)

If we end up keeping the Octavia at least I'll apprectate the Z more ;)

If anything, Hannah driving the Z during the week would be good, she'll never push it hard and never exceeds the speed limit. She also has a gated car park at work in town rather than a pikey ridden industrial estate in a former mining village.

Nice one fella!...an absolutely pukka car!

Enjoy:D

Very nice. :(

I've been warned already that I can keep it until we decide to have some mini Goochies then it'll have to go unless I find a job with significantly better pay :(

No plans as yet but at least I'll have it for a good 9 months

Very nice. Would like to see one on track ;)

I'm sorry I can't see the connection. Once you've bought the car, it's a capital asset and it's depreciating. Unless you are paying a loan off on it, all it represents is a lump sum you could potentially spend on something else. Kids don't typically need a huge up front investment (apart from stuff like prams etc.) they are an ongoing financial drain. Here your salary, rather than the money invested in the car, is the significant factor.

I knew someone who was driving before I was born would have the answer!

I was going to mention a friend who has a baby seat in the back of his porsche.Honest.

Just noticed though, yours doesn't seem to have any rear seats at all!

Hmmm 276 bhp/267 lb ft be the new sig then

I knew someone who was driving before I was born would have the answer!

Now go and spread the good word, young disciple! :D

Still insanely jealous though :(

The Z has a glovebox and a sub woofer where the rear seats would normally be ;)

Nick - Hannah and I are working on the theory of "you're only young once"

That's what we used to say:thumbup: But ended up with what we got now:rolleyes:

Gorgeous car with a fabulous sounding exhaust (the slightly illegal Nissmo one sounds even better) and the RAYS alloys are defiantly worth having as they weigh around 4kg less each, than the standard 18

Congratulations, another sports car owner for the summer.

I hope your going to go to Le Mans in it and also the Nurburgring when the Briskoda.net trip gets off the ground.

A very nice car there chap!
