AdBlue

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can someone tell me how to interpret the Min and Max top-up quantities of AdBlue?

How much liters can I refill?

Thanks,

Gabi

You need a minimum of 3.75 litres to clear the reminder, and the tank will accept a maximum of 6.5 litres.

You should add 6.5 litres, or any amount between 3.75 and 6.5 litres.

-7.5 degree Celsius, where are you!?

How did you know when it's full? Did you put the max quantity shown by the computer? Did you fill it yourself?

Reading on internet that the entire system is sensible on impurities, I'm pretty nervous in refilling it myself. In the same time, the manual tells how to do the operation by your own.

When I picked my car up the dealer told me about there top up service

no appointment needed

will do wile you wait

and no labour

they charge £1.25 ltr

it’s a no brainer not worth buying the fluid and pouring in your self

but as said put around 6 ltrs in and that will keep you going but if not filling all the way you will be topping up more often

I would not trust dealer staff with this task, if cleanliness is critical.

You will pay for their mistakes.

10 litres of AdBlue for £5.99 with free delivery from Euro Car Parts.

I Never use euros !

Sorry deal seems to be finished i spotted it on Briskoda when someone posted a couple of weeks ago and bought 30 litres.

I get 'Free' Adblue with a Motability car but it means getting into a Dealership for the top up so i usually just use filling stations with Adblue pumps.

That is with a filler inside the boot and there is no spillage.   But then no spillage when using a 10 Litre container and spout.

The 20l for £16.99 on Amazon seems a good deal, but it has no spout so would require a funnel. I'm not sure any of our local places have it on the pumps.

Look beside the Diesel Pumps at stations that HGV's and Commercials fill up at.

I recently got 10litres from Euro Car Parts for £3.89. (This was the £5.99 deal and a discount code). The cost of adblue seems vary quite a lot, but paying over 60p a litre would seem silly. It was very easy to fill up using the supplied spout from the 10l can, the car took the lot with no spillage. See this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kS-3M-Ofs0U

I'd be happy to fill up at a forecourt pump, but there are very few of those in N. Wales (read zero).

Reminds me when I looked at a f pace a couple of years ago...the sales chap said ‘oh you don’t have to worry about that, we will fill it for £10.00 a litre’

Ten pound  a litre !!! I said.

..’yes we use special jaguar exhaust fluid’

pull the other one !

I filled Today with around 8L of AdBlue. It was easy to do it. Now, the range is 8000km.

Funny talking about cleanliness when ADBLUE is made using PIG URINE.:blush

^^^ As we know though that is a lot of p!ss and no animals were involved in the emissions reduction of these vehicles other than maybe some monkeys.

Its time for me to top up the Adblue again and looking for at prices it seems to have gone up in price quite a lot.

Has anyone found a bargain source of Adblue?

What is the price of Adblue at a forecourt pump? (if I can find one)

If you like recycling you could pee into a bucket and pour that in. Same as Adblue but much cheaper. Alternatively buy a petrol and save on fuel price as well.

Halfords - 12.50 for 10litres - or £10 with a halfords trade card.

Big stack of Redex brand 4ltr packs in our local Tesco Extra this Saturday at £3.25.....fair price I thought.

That is pretty good, but its 26 miles to my nearest Extra store. I'll go next time I'm over there if I don't find anything in the meantime.
