Options list, sticker location

Featured Replies

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the options list. I just got my new octavia. I thought it was always in the trunk (boot) but it is completely bare and I didn't find it in any other obvious place. It was there plane to see in my other octy.

I would like to just verify a few things there.  Eg, I thought I ordered pacific blue, which was a little darker blue but what I see looks like 'peacock' blue, bright n blingy.  The dealer assured me it was the right color though....

I was told my ordered Energy Blue was the NEW [my19] Pacific Blue....& yes it did seem bright n blingy in comparison !

In the past ….usually in the boot L-H-S & in the owners guide ...plus you got a service book that had provision for dealers stamp & signature ? Its something I will be checking on delivery /inspection ..thanks !

Have you looked on the floor of the boot/trunk under the carpeting? The sticker is an essential part of recording the vehicles production. Paper manuals seem to be on the way out. Maybe join the My Skoda app and feed your VIN number in to register?

My (April 2018) Octavia has no sticker either.  I found a section about the sticker in the Maintenance manual which states:  "Only valid for vehicles manufactured up to CW 45/2017.  The vehicle data carrier is not available for cars manufactured
after CW 45/2017."  (I take CW to mean Calendar Week).

The Maintenance manual and lots of other useful stuff can be downloaded from the Skoda erWin system (€7 +VAT for 1 hour, €25+VAT for 1 day).  Once you have entered your VIN into that system, you can download a PDF of "Vehicle Data".  This provides the information that used to be in the sticker.  In fact, it is even better - it includes a text explanation of each of those 3-letter option codes.

I looked under carpet and foam storage and nothing there.   So I have to pay for this!? Is there no other way.... Seems to me absurd that its not readily available

I also looked in the manual and 'service book' which seems just to be a printout.  So its back to the days of keeping receipts in the storage compartment

Ask your dealer vehicle data including a list of PR codes? They should be able to access it for free.

Yeah, I will try the dealer. That's the next logical option. But my experience so far with him has been quite a let down. I asked him specifically about oil use and what oil is in it  in case a top up is needed. His response: yeah there is a certificate under the hood.... We look, no certificate. "Oh... I can't do anything about that you can check the manual but you won't need to do any thing until your first service in two years."

Well later at home I found in the manual a list of approved oils but not what was filled. And it explicitly says  0.5l can be used in the first 5000km! And should be checked every 1000km.

Langers2k is quite correct - your dealer should be able to access this easily.

In my case, I asked my dealer about the lack of a data sticker shortly after I picked up the car.  They didn't tell me these had been discontinued or that the same information was available electronically - in fact I'm still waiting for them to respond properly.  I think sufficient time has passed that they are unlikely to do so without further prompting.  I was paying for erWin access anyway to download Repair Manuals and check Service Bulletins  - so, finding the "Vehicle Data" was a bonus.

A little bit outdated topic, but In case someone is still searching for the data sticker location. From the owner's manual:

"The vehicle data sticker is located on the base of the luggage compartment and is also fixed into the service schedule. It contains VIN number, vehicle type, gearbox code, paint number, interior equipment, engine output, engine code, partial vehicle description".

My pre facelifted mk3 had one but the face lifted one hasn't!

My 04-2018 Octavia MK3 also has no sticker, no booklets and no maintenance booklet.

The sticker that you guys talk of is only a small list of the PR codes. A full list has normally got a few hundred.

If you send me your VIN i can get you the full PR code list.

Hello! Can you help me with this?

You can generally only get PR codes info from dealers these days. From memory, MK3 had the PR codes under the boot lid. None of the MK3.5 had the PR code sticker (very annoying).

There's a seller on ebay that can supply the car's build codes for 3 Euros (about £2.60).

Search "skoda vin decoder" on ebay to find the listing.
