Most people in the F1 Paddock are now aware the Red Team have been cheating by squirting more fuel (giving more power) into the engine giving them a clear straight line speed advantage. It ain't rocket science.:tongueout:

Apart from the FIA mandated and installed flow meter that's supposed to stop this very thing?

Cars have been disqualified quite recently for exceeding the fuel flow limit so Ferrari have been more clever than RedBull & Force India who got caught?

It seems far too much of a coincidence for the Red Team to suddenly be much slower than expected immediately after the rule on fuel flow was clarified - the Red Team have a long history of 'being creative' with the rules and this would appear to be yet another example.

Red Bull's enquiry, sent by the team's chief engineer Paul Monaghan on October 22, related to "FFM [fuel flow meter] signal filtering".

In simple terms the fuel flow is only measured at intervals

It would appear that Red Bull are suggesting that Ferrari are squirting more fuel in between the intervals.

5.10.3 All cars must be fitted with a single fuel flow sensor, wholly within the fuel tank, which has been manufactured by the FIA designated supplier to a specification determined by the FIA. This sensor may only be used as specified by the FIA. Furthermore, all fuel delivered to the power unit must pass through this homologated sensor, and must all be delivered to the combustion chambers by the fuel injectors described by article 5.10.2.

5.10.5 Any device, system or procedure the purpose and/or effect of which is to increase the flow rate or to store and recycle fuel after the measurement point is prohibited.

Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko has made it clear that the team has questions about what Ferrari are doing, saying "the FIA has to clarify" how Ferrari has achieved its engine superiority.

They aren't the only ones - haha!

Lotus and Brabham were particularly good at it, Mclaren too.

Ferrari's real advantages are their long standing rules veto, and a compliant FIA. I was particularly peeved the way they won the 2003 title by getting a new and superior MIchelin tyre outlawed late in the season, denying KIMI and JPM a real chance to take the title.

After 44 laps LeClerc is almost 61 seconds behind leader Hamilton. Can Lewis on the Hard tyres hang on for a memorable win from his team mate on Medium tyres with 12 laps to go.:whew:

Perhaps Ferrari can't get enough fuel into the engine.

LOL Ferrari, what happened?

Just Slow.

Well done Champ, & Bo77as too - great qually & deserved win head to head with Verstappen all day.

Yeah congrats to Bottas 2 stops the best strategy and Max tried hard for 3rd but Lewis did brilliantly on those Hard tyres for 32 laps. Albon's race was interesting to say the least and now overtakes Gasly with 2 races to go.

Yeah, Albon vs Gasly is a no contest really.

Albons  7  RBR results 5, 6, 6, 5, 4, 5, 5

Gaslys  12 RBR results 11, 8, 6, R, 6, 5, 8, 10, 7, 4, 14, 6

And Alex has never driven F1 on these tracks. Pierre has a full season of F1 already.

I would suggest that Horner and, especially, Marko would expect a minimum result sequence of 6,6,6,6,6,6... from their second car.

See Toto is going to miss the Brazilian Grands Prix for Mercedes. Probably decided he doesn't want to get held up at gun point after dinner again in the Team bus.:bandit:

We will know by 7pm whether they can maintain that level of performance but LeClerc will start outside the top 10 with his new engine.;)
