Pleased to say Skoda have got back to the dealer yesterday and now admit there is a problem with the rear brake pads. Skoda are now fitting a redesigned pad that doesn't  make the howling resonating noise.  !

I used to have a 2021 Karoq that had the pads changed for squeaky brakes in reverse, now have a 2024 Karoq with exactly same problem, Skoda obviously didn't take action to correct it permanently over the intervening years, bit like they keep fitting the rubbish windscreen wipers that most owners Ditch pretty quickly, they need to up their game.....

I find your post interesting! My 2018 Karoq never had this problem, but my 2022 model suffers intermittent loud squeaks and squawks, probably triggered by reversing, then carries on for a while off and on, but especially when starting to brake.

Similar to what has been written above, it starts during certain weather conditions only. I will probably not bother taking it in under warranty - far too many times in the past I have been told by dealerships No Fault Found on various cars I have owned. Sometimes with the problem reappearing on the drive home.

I get the occasional noise from the rear brakes, usually reversing out of my garage/driveway, so cold (rusty) brakes. 2023 1.5 Sportline DSG, so yes, not sorted by Skoda yet. At last service, dealer said wipers were not cleaning properly, but not replaced as Skoda ones were “not very good” - or words to that effect!. Will probably change car at two years old, when HP paid off and second free service (part of HP deal) is done, so not bothered getting brakes looked at.
