Abs module causing brakes to stick?!

Featured Replies

Hello, been having problems with my brakes sticking. When using the brake pedal when driving it starts getting more and more sensitive and they start to bind (from the rear). I have replaced calipers and everything else is fine and my mechanic put it down to a faulty abs module with the following code. Anyone come across this before? Also, can I just buy a new module and pump and will it be plug and play or will i need to send mine off to be rebuilt? Sick to death of it now just want to get it sorted! Thanks

Did you have any luck with getting this sorted? I think I have a similar issue with my own car and still trying to diagnose the problem.

Common old fashioned cause of residual pressure build in the brake system (and thus both fronts and rears binding) is not getting full retraction of the master cylinder/pedal. This stops brake fluid returning to the reservoir and expansion of the brake fluid as it warms up can only increase the pressure rather. This could involve the servo, the master cylinder or the brake pedal itself. I would check those three items. I don't have much idea about the ABS and wether this normally bleeds fluid back to the resevoir when it's not activated.
