Plastic wheel arch trims

Featured Replies

Looking to upgrade my Yeti. The Karoq Scout has arch trims but dismissed as wanting leather seats. I've seen other models like attached   picture but no consistency, anyone know? Looking for a 4x4 DSG petrol.

I believe here in the UK they are fitted to the SE L and Edition models, but only the petrol version.

A 1.5 TSI Edition, with the wheel arch trims...

A 2.0 TDI Edition, without the trims...

Something to do with the fact that the tyres are narrower on the diesel.

Annoyingly though, Skoda UK's configurator doesn't show them on either engine derivative.

2.0 TDI...

1.5 TSI...

So, to summarise, I haven't a clue :D

Just get the Scout, both the petrol and diesel get the wheel arch trims, leather is so last year!

Didnt get any on my 1.5 SE-L.

Just the Edition (and Scout) then?

Didn't get them on my 1.0 SEL either

Thanks for responses, a dealer thinks just with the petrol 1.5 as wider tyres but can't confirm 100%

When I ordered my karoq sel 1.5 in January 2018 the plastic wheel arch trims were free of charge when you ordered the 19" wheels, I think this was because the tyres supplied with the wheels were wider than the standard 18" wheels and tyres.

Originally it was only the petrol edition models.

can these be fitted afterwards? I have the car, but I don't have the wheel arches. :(

Looks like they are glued on, so yes, probably.

Upgrading from a Yeti then keep the rubber mats if you have them. The passenger ones fit perfectly and the drivers one fit ok using just one of the floor studs.

i wonder what is the product code for those plastic archs

No part numbers provided in the Skoda configurator, but obviously a stick-on option.

Nothing listed at https://www.theskodashop.co.uk

I believe these wheel arch trims would require different mud flaps.  If you already have mud flaps fitted then it's worth checking.

Just going through the process of getting all the requisite parts for a fit. Having to source outside of uk as local dealer wanting silly money for them. The dealer was very insistent that they will not fit a 1.5 SEL, only the Scout. I purchased a couple of them just to see how they attach. Photos attached. It appears they come with double sided 3m super sticky tape already applied. Picture 104844 is the front nearside one, the lump on the end replaces the one currently fitted. I'm going to have to change mudgards as the ones currently fitted are whereas the ones for trim fitted cars are . Will post a full fit when I've got all the bits.

Really easy to install

I bought a new 1.5 Edition in December and that does not have these trims. And thank goodness it didn't, because I didn't want them.

Had these on my Ateca and whatever happened ( think someone brushed alonside the car ), the front section came away. That's the piece on the front bumper. It was only approx 300mm long and had very little shape to it - it was just thin plastic. Just over £60 bloody quid !!!  Even the parts dept, who'd never had to order that piece before, gulped at the price. The dealership also sold Jaguar / Land Rover. Parts Dept said pity you hand't bought a Jaguar as the same part for that only costs £40.

The other way of looking at it, £60 for a replacement piece of plastic trim, or hundreds of pounds for a dent and paint repair?
