2019 superb

Featured Replies

my dealer would not take an order for a new 2019 superb, does anyone know why? his excuse did not hold water with me.

Welcome.

?

What was the salespersons reason, are the vehicles spec and prices available & the order books open on the New Superb?

Give us a clue, what reason did the dealer give?

Dealers have quota's. Under deliver and they forfeit thier rebate from the manufacturer, but if they exceed their quota the manufacturer caps their ability to place orders. Its all about supply and demand.

It is likely you're going to have to try a different dealer, one that hasn't sold as many Superb's.

I'm in the process of ordering a new Superb but was too busy to get it sorted last week. Finally had time to get it finalised today but my dealer has told me that the order book for the new facelift Superb will open any day now so Skoda are no longer taking orders for the current version.  Spoke to two other dealers who confirmed the same.  Downside is that the price will probably go up  but the upside is that I think I can get now a 235-240 PS TDI

Yes there are a few face lift stories, may of even seen a pic somewhere...

A 235 TDI in estate, tempted :D if it has 4x4. Still torn between a superb 4x4 and a scout... I've had octy and superb before, have been waiting for a new interior, or new switch gear at least :D

he said the new model was 6 months behind schedule and the earliest the could take orders was July 2019.

I would prefer to be told that which is not that far fetched rather than where a salesperson strings you along with a load of nonsense and deposit taking.

Check with Skoda UK, not that they are that clued up, they are just the importer and liars in chief.

This seems to happen every year. Skoda seem to use the summer shutdown to update the production lines...

Seems early though for the Superb facelift?

My dealer also said in early May that it isn't possible to place an order for a new Superb (unless it has already been built) until after the facelift is announced.  This is currently scheduled to be on 23 May to coincide with an ice hockey event that Skoda sponsor.

Presumably Skoda are currently updating all their systems for what will be the MY20 Superb (ie all cars produced after the 2019 summer factory close, which is when they do all the assembly line changes required) but don't want to pre-empt the big reveal.

Would the new (and very Volvo-like rear) Superb be the reason for the hassle ordering a current model?

Lucky you, as the new facelift Superb will be getting a Scout model.
