Instruments panel issues

Featured Replies

Hello guys, I own a Felicia combi, and have had a issue with the gas gauge and temperature gauge. When I start the two gauges, go to the extreme top and with the gas gauge the light comes on sometimes. I drive to work and sometimes the temperature gauge would work, the gas gauge does not work at all. Read a post on it here once, where was a resistor was the issue, gave a tech to change it. He did but still not working. Can anyone help me with this please.

All issues described happen because there are cold solder joints for PCB connectors (yellow for fuel gauge and white for the temp gauge) or/and cracks in the copper traces on PCB. The only solution is to resolder the connectors with fresh solder and flux followed by cleaning the green solder mask and tinning the copper tracks.

Thanks I will try it and see if I get any results. I was going to replace the fuel sending unit in the tank, can you say what is the resistance rating for the unit . I think i read some where it's 435 ohms or 465ohms but I can't remember.
