Probably to 0253, can you locate your software train value.

 

I guess you have developer mode enabled?

I bought AA and car play function official at my Skoda dealer. 

 

Just changed the Display from 6,5 inch bolero to 8 inch Columbus. No need to Code something. Worked out of the Box. I cutted one nose of the plug and Just plug in and worked.

 

So u think i can Update to a higher Version?

Maybe @pab567might be best to answer as you have done some hardware modifications.  I think you could be updating firmware, but best wait for answer.

Confirmed, you can proceed with update if you activated SmartLink officially

You can have update to 0369, the language should remain as Italian if this is inside firmare (yes AFAIK)

They do not release changelog for us to read, but best answer is bug fixes, like Bluetooth might drop out on some phones etc.

i have the fabia 2017 drive combi version with the bolero 5Q0035820C. When starting smartlink it loads forever. Software is 0468 - are there any updates? And could i change the main unit to a 5Q0035842C without any further changes and would then have carplay available?

I deal mainly in software/firmware for the units.  For hardware swap infomation you are going to want to address Pab567 directly for your question.  Your current firmware should be able to update to 0480, and have andoid auto/apple carplay built in afaik, just activation is done by release codes.
