@pab567might be able to recommend you a possible replacement, or indeed be able to supply you one to fit.

Glove box unit must be replaced, from approx. 200 GBP up for fully reworked (unlocked and activated) unit.

There's no official way to update, as only exist 0138 version.

02xx

03xx

04xx

05xx SEAT

 

Software train values.

 

You can update from say 02xx to 04xx, but this is not the forum and process is dangerous (also you may miss features)

 

It's best you keep existing version.

 

 

Last choice is to purchase a replacement unit with new firmware say in 04xx range, you may also need different screen too.

Mine has latest 0253 version, I can enable... but it won't talk to my phone regardless.

So I just use bluetooth for calls.

 

I suspect that you could load any of the software versions (dangerous as mentioned) and still your mirrorlink will not function if your phone is not on the 'list' inside the unit of tested phones.

Nope, the latest in 04xx version is 0480, but you have big risk to break your radio.

So if you have 01xx 02xx 03xx and so on, you need to stick with your correct series.
