Rear Indicator problem

You need to check if there's power at the bulb holder using a meter or preferably a 12 volt test bulb. The wire colour for the driver's side rear indicator is black/green. Switch the indicator on and put one side of the bulb to that wire at the light cluster plug and the other side to the metal on the boot lock. The test bulb will flash if power is getting to the plug. You can make a test lamp by soldering two wires to a 12 volt 21 watt bulb.

Getting back onto the topic voltage was checked and fine on the indicator and they couldn't find any reason why it done that. Sensor was faulty and saying it was -7 degrees when it was 20+degrees and my battery had had it. New battery and sensor fitted 😊. I'm so glad to have my car back 🤗

Lynn- a decent tool for finding high resistance electrical faults is a 21w lamp with wires soldered to the terminals ( or a 21w lamp in a holder with wires .Far better than a voltmeter for that sort of fault as the lamp shows a drop of volts as it draws a lot of current, where as a volt meter only takes a small current and won't show up any bad connection.

I'm curious since I've had the car back from the garage with the the new battery my door warning lights haven't been flickering along with the noise I usually get so could the old battery have been causing that and maybe possibly the indicator problem as I know I had all kinds of weird things happening when my alternator was faulty and had a new one put on about 4.5 yrs ago?

Maybe; certainly an old battery can throw all sorts of messages until the alternator catches up with needed charge, and a duff alternator can throw more fault codes, like "most of them at once".
