High Mileage Octy 3s - Anyone Made It To The Moon Yet?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Been finding myself perving over potential options for my next car but in reality I'm a few years off replacing my 2014 Estate... the plan is to run it into the ground and it's only done 60k so far (the previous owner gave it a very gentle first four years).

But it got me wondering... Anyone got any mega mileage Mk3s they want to boast about?!

Got a strange feeling this thread might be dominated by Taxi Drivers. Sasha Grace has done at least 111,111 miles in her 2014 Vrs Estate.

Yes, I’m on nearly 112k now :)

Excellent. Hoping to get well beyond 100k too without too many issues (beyond the water pump...).

I was previously running an MQB A3 with (almost) the same engine as a company car and got to 80k without a hiccup. It's amazing how cars with a lot of miles under their belt still feel like new nowadays.

While my Octavia is only on 88k atm, my old 3 series crossed 200k this month, and I managed to get my old focus to 240k before it died.

Just over 48k here on 2013 vrs.  Still thinking about changing although my mates say I'd be mad to change.

my last mk3 had cleared 130,000 miles

It’s 240,000 miles to the moon so that’s a fair old mileage, maybe an early 2013 model that’s done 40,000 a year.

85k mileage on a 65 plate octy, it was a fleet car before I purchased it with very regular services, but I’m still keeping a firm eye on it iykwim

2013 Octavia Mk3 Elegance Estate - 2 litre auto. Just gone over the 100k and reassuring to see bigger miles are possible. Mine feels tight as a drum, close your eyes and you'd swear it had only done 30k. Before you run into the back of the car in front that is....

Wow that's given me a nice memory seeing that! Completely off topic, but back in around 1975 my Grandma and Grandad were driving alone the Sychnant Pass and saw a bag moving by the side of the road. Appallingly it contained several kittens :( they were lucky that my Grandparents spotted them in time.

Anyway, we kept one of them, and called her Sian. She lived a fabulously happy life with us for over 20 years!

I know, cool story :D
