Well it was fixed... It's back in dock today for the same recurring issue of oil sensor failure.

They replaced the sensor, replaced the oil, that leaves a wiring fault or problem with the ECU. Now I know that I got the throttle response changed, but that was done after the sensor failure saga started, so that can't be the problem.

OBD11 tells me that there's a new software (firmware) available for the ECU, which Skoda won't install (don't know why).

I've said that if it continues then I will be returning the car, Garland's have said that as it's over a year old, that I can't hand it back!

Anyway it came back with the fault cleared, it lasted all of 90 mins before it returned, I was told at the dealership that they now think that it's a cable fault, but they will have to take the car back for yet another two days, to disassemble it and change it and test it thoroughly.

This means that I'll have to take two days off work again (albeit rest days, but I could earn an extra £500 for those!) unless I can get the right shifts.

They had a go at me for tweaking the dashboard and tried to imply that I had tweaked or tuned the ECU, which I haven't, what I have altered is the dashboard, indicators to flash 5x vice 3 and the throttle response for a sharper response and as I have previously mentioned, that was done after the sensor failure warnings started. So the car returns to the dealer again in April for further investigation work and possible rectification.

Yeah, I once brought a touch-up pen from Garlands, I also once sat down with one of their sales people to try to get their carwow quote down to the lowest price I'd been quoted as they were local. Somehow the sales girl didn't understand I was trying to reduce their price & F'dnif I know how but, the price went up, I've never had any other dealing with them although, this my 6th Skoda & they're just 3 miles from my home.

Does that imply the level of confidence I have in them, FFS just take it to the Camberly service centre & let them sort it out.

I'm tempted to take it to VAS in Merrow, a 10' drive away, but the car is still under warranty.

You do realise, Camberly service centre is Skoda Approved for both service & warranty work?

When you've had enough of Garlands, take it there, they're only another 6 miles down the BVR. I appreciate as the supplying dealer you've given them a fair go at it but, they don't seem to be getting very far.

I will discuss the matter with Skoda Customer Service tomorrow.

I'll see if they'll let me take the car there instead.

I found them pretty unhelpful when trying to buy too. Their headline carwow prices look good but they're not the cheapest, and they seemingly didn't think they could obtain a car from stock during a major national event in which Skoda were incentivising the shifting of cars sat in Skoda's stock. Could have been they only wanted to sell factory orders to avoid passing on more discount  but pretty unhelpful either way

The saga continues...

Saturday went shopping for me and mum, came back, car throws up Lane Assist error, tonight it has been throwing up Lane Assist and Traffic Sign errors every few seconds and the car wasn't even moving!

I can't get anything done because the garages are all closed (they shouldn't be, they're on the list of things that should be open). I have never had such a 💩 car as this in my life.

Can anyone help me please, if you have VCDS and live local to Guildford or Dorking, I would be very grateful if you could please come by and see me and see if you can work your magic on this junk heap.
