Opening a professional Skoda Tuning company!

Featured Replies

Dear All,

After extensive searching on the internet, and asking around, I have discovered that there is no engine tuning company for Skoda models.

My question to all forum members is the following: Is there any famous professional and reliable engine tuning company focused on Skoda, or are these companies only focused on body modification?

Any constructive and objective input is highly appreciated!

As above, if you can tune a Skoda you can tune any VAG which begs the questions why you would narrow down your customer base by just calling yourself a Skoda tuning company.

Also, if you were to pick one you would be stupid to pick Skoda. If you went with Audi you could charge twice as much for your services 😂

Also he wouldn't need to worry about returning happy customers. Audiot don't worry about that either, just keep conning the punters that they are getting an "upmarket" and "premium" product... 😠

I think OP is hinting at the likes of a Cosworth or a Prodrive or a Ralliart in Skoda terms.

I believe skoda build their rally cars in house not by a 3rd party company.

@FabiaS2000

Are you looking to buy or build a rally car? Or just maxpower a Fabia?

I'm sure there would be a very narrow audience for this e.g; I doubt it would carry the same cachet as AMG, Alpina, M Division, Renn Sport, etc etc.

I specifically didn't mention any of these tuning companies (aren't AMG and M Division directly part of Mercedes-Benz and BMW respectively nowadays anyway? As Ralliart are with Mitsubishi) as that would never be a part of the market Skoda would ever be in. They are quite successfully into rallying though hence the references I made. I know "customer" rally teams can buy ready made rally cars from Skoda, whether an average Joe punter could is another question.

Yes, devisions of.  Ok, I'll modify my 'example' to BBR who specialise in Mazda MX5's/Mazda and I'll also call Brabus on the Mercedes front. 😁

Also, how big is the market for Skoda cars in Egypt?

First of all I would like to thank you for your constructive and objective input.

What I have in mind and would like to share with u, is to establish a high performance Skoda street legal vehicle division, where professional engine tuning is provided for the complete Skoda car portfolio ....aiming to create a company as an equivalent as AMG is for Mercedes, Alpina/M-power for BMW, Quattro GmbH for Audi etc.

Who is interested to start such a promising project with me?

Target is not Egypt only..but worldwide!

Many... many... many, well established companies of this nature already exist specializing in VAG vehicles which skoda share virtually all there mechanical parts with, as do Seat.

No company would restrict themselves to only Skoda when so much is shared with VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda particularly on a global scale.

Perhaps you may wish to further your market research.

Please send me your bank details, date of birth, mothers maiden name etc and i will forward to you all my winnings from the Euro Lottery to invest in your company.

This reminds me of the same request I got from my deceased uncle's lawyer in Uganda.  I hope you are more forthcoming with my inheritance, it's been 6 months now....

Your mail order bride / aunty is in transit.

How much do wish to extort / have us contribute to your business plan?

@Gmac983 I will need your constructive and objective input in the following

a) Executive Summary  covering items like Objectives, Mission and Vision ( formulated in clear words...not like the mind jungle I have now..;-)

A team who is willing to launch this project with me. The starting team should be related but not limited to the following fields:

b) Marketeers to design and run surveys related to this project ( e.g. are people even willing to pay xyz for a tuned Skoda which is an AMG killer, USP etc.)

c) Automotive specialized mechanical engineers, who are thinking out of the box, creative and willing to go the extra mile. VAG/ motorsport background preferred

d) Designers

e) People working in the supply chain department

f)......

This is the start..any constructive input and help is highly appreciated.

Could i suggest you look at this sure fire winner as a product you might want to include in your business.

Maybe just do not advertise or promote it in the UK.

It will clean up the emissions of any Diesels that you are going to be tuning.

I'm sure I heard of a firm taking unused haggis, neeps and tatties and mixing it with original irn bru... Once it decomposes it gives of a potent gas that could be used to power vehicles much like CNG. With veganism on the up many haggis farmers are delighted with this new potential market place for their unsold haggis. Might be a better buisness idea for you moving into this sort of sustainable and renewable enterprise rather than working on the internal combustion engine approaching the end of its days here in the UK.

Im afraid I canna help ye on the finances as I huvna get twa bawbees to rub the 'gither.

^^^ Almost true; they use the vegan version to make fuel, it's marketed as bio-haggis 99.

How did i miss this thread earlier...

George yourgonna reignite "that other thread" if you keep mentioing that product :D
