Removable Boot Hook Missing

Featured Replies

Just replaced my 2018 Karoq with a 2020 (renewed the lease) and notice it doesn't have the clip-on boot hook in the boot that goes on the "top tether" hook: https://www.skoda-parts.com/nahradni-dil/57a8677859b9-hook-skoda-32860.html

Anyone know if this was removed in MY19/20 or should I have one?

Can be seen in this photo form another user's post: IMG_20180404_144246.jpg

Only a minor niggle I know!

Thanks

Got one in my MY20 delivered in December 19

Mine came (may 2019) with just one as well.

I too wondered why

Thanks both.

I think it should be one as I had in my 2018 model but I didn't get one at all with my MY20 car.

Appears in the Parkers photo which shows the newer back seats with the armrest / hatch that wasn't on older models.

Anyone know the process for claiming for a missing part? Do I need to speak to the dealer or directly with Skoda?

I wouldn't mind paying 2,71 € from skoda-parts.com but I think its about 10 € postage!

Supplying dealer I guess, but have you checked all around the boot area and pushed the seats forward to make sure it hasn't fallen down the back of the seat, or even in the rear of the car on the floor or under front seats. They are not a very tight fit and it could have fallen out. Your picture is exactly the same as my car with hatch by the way.

Is it because the MY20 has hook rails on both sides?

Did you ever get this sorted? I just bought an approved used and it has rails on both sides but not hook. Also the parking ticket holder from the windscreen is missing.

I didn't even get one when I bought my new MY20 car, but have added two since. If the parking ticket holder is missing, I wonder if the windscreen has been replaced?

Chris

Yep I thought that too. It looks like a genuine VAG windscreen though as has the logo. I bought it approved used from a main dealer and as I was driving it home noticed a stone chip so will have to get that fixed. Garages hate doing those as costs them a fortune whereas it should cost me £15 going through my insurance. I know some have accidentally snapped the parking ticket holder when cleaning but can’t see anything unless it was just removed. The hooks are showing up at crazy prices online so may just go without! Even the parking ticket holder is showing up at over £10! I found a place that sells them under £1 just now though so might try and fit it myself. The trim unclips but I’m just a bit nervous as only bought the car last weekend.

My 23 SEL with Varioflex seating came new with a rail on each side and one hook on each side. I since added two more to have two hooks on each side.

My workmates 23 Sportline with standard seating came with one rail on one side but had two hooks on the rail.

Mine has a rail on each side and what looks like a fixed (moulded hook) but none of the large moveable hooks. Not sure the best place to buy them from as even on eBay they were around £15 each which is a lot of money for a hook. 🪝

My Sept 23 Sportline has a single rail on the left side and two hooks

Never used the parking ticket holder or boot hooks on mine!
