I have annoying ticking sound coming from my dashboard and it's really annoying..any ideas..sounds like a clock only louder and faster.. thought maybe a speedometer cable rubbing? 

Air con or blower fan, perhaps?

Constant or intermittent?

Steady or variable speeds and, of the latter, under what conditions does it change?

It's constant and only when the car is moving..having the fan and Aircon off makes no difference. Like I say..it's a niggle but an annoying one .same as the squeaks that I can hear inside the car when I drive..sounds like the head rests at the back or plastic creaking somewhere..

Might be the motorflap behind the dash, I believe it will come up as an error on vcds. 

the noise comes from the motor flaps of the climatronic. if you want to stop it you need vcds in order to reset the basic settings for every motor flap.
