Austin Allegro V6 Street sleeper project by Jonny Smith Car Pervert.

Part 1.

Reminds me of a somewhat rougher street sleeper a teenage friend of mine built.  He was working for a guy who broke Jaguars and managed to blag a 4.2 engine, box and transmission which he transplanted into his Ford Anglia.  It made for some interesting traffic light Grands Prix until the overworked chassis gave up and dropped the motor onto the road during one over-enthusiastic standing start.  No-one was hurt and we rescued the by-now Airfix kit on a big farm trailer towed behind another friend's Dad's farm tractor.

Looking back it feels a bit like a "FourYorkshiremen" story ... :)

i bet it was great craic though, right up until the engine fell out , and then it was a bit of an adventure :D

It's part of being a teen, isn't it? It doesn't have to make sense to the world at large :)

Helping fill the space for me of not having 'Project Binky' to watch.
