Mats

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm after a singular drivers side floor mat for my VRS to match the set I got with the car when new. Annoyingly the current one is starting to develop a hole and the others are in perfect condition.

Apart from eBay, which are not a perfect match in terms of genuine Skoda, is there anywhere else that I could source a new one from?

TIA

Checked out SuperSkoda website?

Yep, just full sets. I only want the driver's one.

Will probably revert to eBay and try to match as close as possible to the ones I have fitted.

Never heard of mats being sold in singles, you can usually buy full set of 4 or just front pair.

Same, but I thought in this day and age where you can get McDonalds table service I thought a single mat might be a possibility 😂

Get the Skoda rubber mats -then they'll probably outlast the car

I purchased these off Ebay. Look and feel just like the genuine Skoda ones that I replaced them with. You can select your own colour and design etc.

Do they smell rubbery though, I always remember my dad's car stinking of the corrugated rubber mats from the local motor factors.

Not if you get the genuine Skoda ones - as they are synthetic rubber and they fit really well

You can't get McDonalds table service at the moment :nerd:

+1, I have these in my Fabia and they're great. Rugged and not smelly. :)

I wore a hole in the rubber mats as well. Two years I think I got out of them.

That's a bit rubbish.

Would you say they're worth their weight in rubber/gold or just get some non-Skoda ones which I imagine will do the job all the same.

Yeah I’d say they’re still worth it. They are a bang on 100% fit for starters. It was probably more to do with my footwear. I wear boots a lot so a chunkier heel probably is to blame.

I've worn through the genuine Skoda drivers mat in 14,000 miles. Stuck on a black anti floor scratch  pad intended for furniture legs.

Was hoping there'd be an option of buying driver side only mats in this day and age too.

Just seems like such a waste buying a complete set when only one is needed.

Have you tried any scrap yards?

They might insist on flogging pairs but even so the price might be favourable (depending on condition).
