Help please! Engine and EPC Light - illuminated before ignition

Featured Replies

Help please!  EPC and Engine light stay on BEFORE I turn the ignition.  They go out when I start the car.  Is this normal?  The handbook doesn't explain that these should stay illuminated till you turn the engine on.  I bought an approved used Skoda this morning, so have no previous experience whether this is normal.  I have just been familiarising myself with the new toys at my disposal while parked on my drive (engine not running) and noticed these lights had stayed on.

This is normal. Only a concern if on with engine

100% normal - it's a hangover from when normal bulbs were fitted in instruments as a bulb check.
