I love YouTube (and Twitter, don't judge!) and enjoy several motoring-related YouTube channels.

What are your favourite channels?

I'm presently subscribed to:-

Alan Howatt, who maintains a fleet of Mondeo taxis for a taxi firm, and is one of my favourite YouTubers. Very down-to-earth and a mine of information.

Car Throttle, who are the YouTube "Top Gear" these days.

Car TV, which covers a lot of motoring ground, mainly vehicle reviews, and I dip in and out of. They show clips of the manufacture of the Octavia III in this video, from sheet metal to finish.

Dentless Touch, which is a repair channel and I find it fascinating how perfectly they can repair dings and dents.

Detailing World, which is a fairly new subscription and I'm still looking for a great detailing YouTube channel, so recommendations welcome.

Deutsche Auto Parts, which is a great repair tutorial channel.

Engineering Explained, which is a great car tech channel. Below is a useful video on DSG gearboxes on that channel.

Fifth Gear, which is the YouTube channel of the TV show.

GTOger, which is a channel that was built on CCTV footage of cars getting towed away. (He makes it much more fun to watch than you'd expect.)

Honest John, which is a car review channel. (Though to be honest I watch a load of CarWow car reviews, not sure why I'm not subscribed.)

LegitStreetCars, which covers a lot of ground, but I watch it for his buying/selling car videos.

Hot Car Crash Compilation, for the same reason everyone slows down and looks at a car accident scene.

Ratchets and Wrenches, & Scotty Kilmer are two are mechanic's channels I don't watch so much these days. Gotta love Scotty though. "Rev up your engines!"

ScannerDanner, a vehicle diagnostics channel.

Sergey322, a channel which is a car crash/road rage/police chase channel.

Schrodingers Box, diagnostics/tech channel.

The Chase is On, a police chase channel.

Tyre Reviews, which is what it says on the tin.

Uncle Tony's Garage, which is a great watch for all sorts of American car stuff.

As you can imagine, I don't watch much broadcast TV, but I do watch a lot of YouTube stuff. :D

Calvin's Car Diary for me. The guy has a real passion for the cars he buys to sell on and sometimes he likes them so much he keeps them for himself. Anything from a cheap M2 to a SQ7 worth a watch and honest and informative.

Brilliant! Thank you.

I like this guy because he logically works through a fault rather than throw parts at a problem hoping that it will fix it.

Another good one is HOONIGAN and just watched the World's fastest Audi RS3 in Las Vegas which does high 8's quarter miles on the drag strip and comes with its own parachute which is handy when you have 1,200bhp from the modified 2.5 litre in-line turbo engine.:tongueout: That's 0-157mph in 9 seconds.:mmm:

I watch a lot of YouTube videos. There are a quite a few channels I look at and trust. I've even put most into categories.

Car reviews:

CarWow, Carbayer, Autoexpress, What Car, The Telegraph, CarGurus UK (I do like reviews with Mat Watson or Rebecca Jackson). Electric Cars: Fullychargedshow (Robert Llewellyn and Johnny Smith), I do like "James and Kate" who do honest and unbiased reviews. Chris Harris on Cars and Drive. Harry Metcalf (ex EVO) who runs Harry's Garage is quite good. Recently been watching his other channel, Harry's farm which is very good. I'm sure there's others I've forgotten

(Super) car vloggers

Shmee150, Supercars of London, Seb Delaney, Seen through Glass, Archie HambletonRacing.

Project Builds

Project Binky (Bad Obsession Motorsport) - 2 guys building an old mini with Toyota Celica engine and 4wd running gear. 30 min or so episodes every few months (now one virtually every month), brilliantly done with slight humour too. One of only few channels I'm Subscribed to.

Detailing

Forensic Detailing Channel - Long and thorough reviews of detailing Products, also does group tests.

Car Cleaning Guru

Pan the Organiser.

'Engineering Explained' is a very good channel, who as you can imagine explains things very well. Car Throttle can be entertaining too.

Project Farm - Tests different oils and fuels in engines to see how they perform.  Normally a Lawn mower and also has an engine with perspex cylinder head.

Non-Car related

Techmoan - originally found looking for Dashcam reviews, he now does weird and wonderful audio and video formats reviews.

BigClivedotcom - teardown and reverse engineer random electrical stuff.

EEBlog - similar to above

8bit Guy, Nostalgic Nerd, LGR, - old computer stuff

Linus Tech Tips & Techquickie - Modern Computer and phone reviews

Photonicinduction - Tests electrical things using massive electrical power until they go bang! However not been updated for more than 2 years, I've read he will be back soon.

Photograpy

Camera Reviews - DigitalRev TV and Kai W. Kai Wong is entertaining to watch with decent reviews on stuff

Tony & Chelsea Northrup - Techniques and Camera reviews

Christopher Frost Photography - Camera Lens Reviews

Mike Browne - Camera techniques and how to improve them.

Drinks:

The CiderDrinker - (Subscribed) I Likes me Zider!!. Real Craft Ale Beer channel, Beer Goggles, I'm sure there's a few more.

Over the last year or so I've enjoyed watching Geoff Marshal and All the Stations, who are an entertaining couple who look at stations and railway related bits. The Londonist is quite good too.

I'm sure there are other sites I look at, but forgotten. I did wonder about linking them to this post, but there's so many, just copy and paste into YouTube search. The Channal names in Italics if you hadn't noticed. With the amount I look at, I think I need to get out more, lol!!

I did the same with Techmoan, which is how I ended up with my Aukey DR02 dash cam setup. :)

If I listed all my non car-related YouTube stuff, I'd be here all day. :D (Bigclivedotcom is always interesting though. 👍)

I still watch channels I'm not subscribed to, mainly because I enjoy their videos but I just end up with too many videos in my subscriptions waiting list if I subscribe to all the stuff I watch.

^^^ Do they watch porn on 'youtube', while partnered sad or happy people and happy singles use the websites to watch porn?

EDIT,

@shyVRS245

Most people you go to church might have religious beliefs then. No idea what the percentage of actual church goers there are world wide.

I will just post here instead of another post OT to thank you for making every day a school day.

One should never bash the Bishop and even more so the Archbishop and the church they are part of.

Let them do it themselves.

The more sad and lonely people are, the more time they spend online. FACT!

The saddest and lonliest people of all use motoring forums to try and fill the aching voids in their lives. FACT!

Any sentence followed by the word "FACT!" is probably BS. FACT! 😋

Why are you confused George most people who go to any Church or have a belief will tell you PORN is like committing adultery so married people don't need or want it in their relationships. Hopefully that has cleared up any confusion in your mind (dirty or clean).

A good lesson from the Preacher With No Name. The Sermon is now over.

I average a moderate amount of time online, but tend to do it in splurges (that sounds like something a fisherman would wear to keep his/her feet dry when trying to catch salmon ).

I always start the day with BBC news on an app, then BBC or SKY Sport, also on an app (Sport is the area I work in most) and then weather (I often work outdoors). If I'm on a day off I usually have the computer on all day as I get regular work emails and planning sheets etc so dip into Brisky amongst other sites as the day goes on. I have a laptop at my side most of the day sadly  as I always seem to have loads of stuff to do on it.

I do enjoy Twosetviolin and Dave 504 as well as the mighty jelle's marble run though

Love Twosetviolin's "Pachelbel's Chicken."

Insane, but oddly enjoyable.

My favourite music channel is probably the harpist Amy Turk. She's absolutely enchanting on that harp.
