Firefox Mobile

Just got the new Firefox Mobile app this morning. It's awful

The end.

Sure it's not that bad? What happened to it?

Edit: fixed the toolbar position but not a fan of single column for tabs, much preferred the dual column layout. Haven't checked performance whilst browsing yet.

They took something that worked, and turned it upside down. Then took all the good stuff and put it behind something else making it invisible.

I came, I saw, I regretted updating.

It only works if you think in Russian!!

Mp4 video "show controls" gone now too 😞

Agreed. Something is going wrong at Firefox. They are losing ground on rivals.

I've deleted that app, and stopped using the web browser. Moved over to Edge which is very quick and slick to use.

If you are concerned about privacy - The Duck Duck Go mobile browser is very good.

This is an interesting watch.

firefox has been getting worse for about 4yrs now on pc as well as mobile.

i stopped using it and moved back to Chrome which works.

duck duck go is also quite good

Another vote for bringing back the old Android version of Firefox. I do not like the new version at all. I preferred the tabbed view and for it to start and display my favourites and not have to put them into collections. I will have to investigate alternatives for my tab,et and phone.

And another.  Saved logins don't seem to be working for me.

I've stayed with FireFox as much as anything for the addons - blocking adverts, managing Java scripts etc. - but I'd be interested to know if such are available in other browsers these days?

The updated app is getting a beating on the Android Play Store. Some belting reviews.

I've stuck with FF on the desktop, I've used it for a very long time now and I like my add ins.

I don't use it on mobiles, but I've read very bad things about this update

An update to the Android flavor of Firefox left fuming punters thinking a bad experimental build had been pushed to their smartphones. In fact, this was a deliberate software release.

Same here - Firefox on all our desktops for many years.

On mobiles I just stick with Safari but have Chrome installed for "if and when" but never had to use it.
