Help - TPMS - no way to turn off

Featured Replies

I have a 2016 Skoda Octavia CR PDF SE. My cd player stopped working which powered the display unit head (radio, car settings etc). I got the cd unit changed, not the exact model number but only one digit out. It was refitted and everything worked fine. Then the tyre pressure monitor warning light appeared on the dashboard. I went to the settings via the head unit but the option to reset the TPMS wasn't available. I had to get the tyre pressure monitor warning reset by a specialist with a laptop. I don't think I will be able to get the exact cd unit to match so thinking of getting a replacement that will plug into the TPMS and everything else. Any suggestions what I can do or recommendations.

Get obd eleven so you can reset it yourself. Far cheaper than replacing the head unit and gives you loads of other stuff to play with.

As I "retrofitted" (coded in) TPMS myself, I remember that the glovebox unit had its own coding to allow resetting it. First there is coding to enable TPMS itself, including the dashboard TPMS light, and another one to enable it on the radio. Yours is probably incorrectly coded. Find someone with VCDS or OBDeleven and let them check.
