Sportline ride quality ?

Featured Replies

Is the ride quality of the standard Kodiak Sportline without Dynamic Chassis Control, any good or harsh ?

Im coming from a 2015 Octavia VRS with the optional 19" Extreme alloys and it is a bit of a bone shaker to say the least.

Cheers

If I recall, the Kodiaq’s standard suspension setup is slightly firmer than the ‘normal’ DCC setup, and with the 20” rims it’s perfectly fine. I almost never drive my car in the ‘comfort’ suspension mode.

Ride quality much better in Kodiaq Sportline than a normal Octavia let alone a vRS. There's more suspension travel for a start and 20" 235/45 profile means you still have decent size tyre wall.

I'd defo test drive a Kodiaq if you're coming from an Octavia vRS tho as handling is going to be a difference of night and day. To me, the 20" rim Sportline feels like a bus compared to a normal Octavia on 17" wheels. It doesn't handle badly, it's just you're reminded thru every corner you're driving a higher and heavier vehicle.
