Hi,

Curious about versions and to learn if there are any new features or, if as noted above, it's just bug fixes?

I've not yet discovered any bugs but I've only had the car a couple of days 😉 I have:

  • SW Train: MSTT_EU_SK_ZR_P0471T
  • MU Version: 0471
  • Part Number: 5Q0035874C
  • SW Ver: H29.319.51_STDNav_EU

Thx

Bug fixes, rather than new features.

Latest is MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T for your software train

Hi I have a 2014 vRS TDI, But have a retrofitted later model stereo

Current Version: MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0478T(0478)

Software version: H29.319.93_STD2Nav_EU

Im getting error codes

B200087 - Software Incomatible

B126CF0 - Navigation Database Malfunctioning

and

C110100 - Component Protection Active (to be expected with the retrofit) and wanted to make sure I was on the latest software before attempting any other fix

The latest SW Train is 0480, but that probably won't clear those codes out.

Can you check the SW Train history, so we know where it start at originally 02xx 03xx 04xx version.

Where would I find this?

In engineering menu, you can find an update history, unless it was cleared.

Firmware 0480 is by PM, but it would be nice to know the previous firmware stored.

Is this it?

Yes, it shows a history, and also the use of a MIB Toolkit to hack unit (no complaints there)

Is your Developer menu still available where you can see your MIB Tools?

I guess that’s this?

Hi @varooom,

Could you please let me know if there is an update for my infotainment system? Also is it possible to update it with another software that has Smartlink enabled as I've seen a post online with a similar unit that got updated (attached a screenshot)

Thank you.20230209_171559.thumb.jpg.738665af0a8978a97e639e53d7288029.jpg20230209_171607.thumb.jpg.5b36e90d06b572d5d4c07dbeabe1ddda.jpg20230209_171617.thumb.jpg.be8dc1f07680b4b077af34e55c10d01f.jpg20230209_171607.thumb.jpg.5b36e90d06b572d5d4c07dbeabe1ddda.jpg20230209_171617.thumb.jpg.be8dc1f07680b4b077af34e55c10d01f.jpgScreenshot_20230209_174656_Facebook.thumb.jpg.29c2fc3c9b2537d9fe81b4b9e4f91799.jpg

@ASamir86You have already asked the question to Pab567, so patience is key as he will be working.  The firmware you have now has the ability already inside for Smart link etc, but it has to be enabled.

Scroll up a few posts and see the process, you must have developer mode enabled, or you cannot use the free activation method.

Firmware update to version 0253 is available, but you will have to await Pab567 as you asked him first.

@varooom Thank you for your reply, I asked you as well as I'm new here and wasn't sure I was on the right thread or whether he still active on or not.

Thanks again for your help.

Hello.

Can anyone tell me the difference between these part numbers?

565035874 vs 5Q0035874C

I am looking for a new headunit to retrofit DAB in my Octavia 5e 150tsi which is currently fitted with Amundsen Navigation - unit 565035864 H41 with sw 0478.

The 565035874 looks to be the safe choice, however the 5Q0035874C is cheaper and all the specs I can find looks identical. Except the part numbers.

Advice needed please :)

@pab567 A nice hardware enquiry for you sir 🤝

@csloth You may need your VIN, so please make sure you have this ready if asked

Same HW, same SW (04xx), same features...

Thanks

Also same manufactor afaik. Wonder why the part number has changed then - if they're exactly the same.

Anyone know if I already have smartlink enabled via dealer but am having problems with my Android Auto connection whether updating the software will help fix? Samsung s22 ultra, AA works for about 15 min then gets stuck in a disconnect loop no matter which cables I am using. Also I presume that wont have to re-enable smartlink after upgrading the software?

Thanks in advance!

If it was enabled by dealer, it should be retained post update.

The latest version is 0253, I will PM you a link.

Updated no problem from SD thanks @varooom(USB didn't work interestingly. Still have the same problems however so wonder if it is a USB issue rather than infotainment system?

USB port/cable or some nuts phone issue.

2014 = MIB1 since the MIB 2 only entered production during 2015 (for 2016 MY?).

So yes it's a Columbus, but a MIB1.

Has anyone had to replace this unit? Mine has been updated by a 3rd party skoda repairer and told me I need to replace the 5E0035045B unit (no sound from unit, although sometimes randomly will work once a month)

There are simply none available to buy anywhere in the world it seems, but many of the European variants of the same year. Has anyone swapped one out without issue with the coding?

Hoping the only difference is something like the DVD region lock?
