Since there was no info about my car, i asked them what is going on with others. They replied that in the last few weeks cars are coming more frequently (all models).

Today they recived and update on 3 Octavias (Combi version with ambition package and all 3 ordered in begining/middle of the March 2021).

They claim that they recived an update on these 3 cars only when they were already in Slovenia. Not even an update that they were in transit.

Also told me that my car is the only one that has VIN number amongst all their orders until June 2021.

 

Really stupid situation that is costing me money and nerves...

I received no info from dealer without me chasing them, they only informed me about the fire in the factory (which was presented to me as the Skoda Octavia factory burnt down and not the subcontractor’s).  The initial waiting time was 5-7 months when I placed the order in Aug 21, it’s now 9 months and counting with my car supposedly made since about a month ago but missing parts.

Still alive - nothing new with my order, except the date is nov shoving end of June....Not confirmed!

SEL IV ordered Feb 22 Original estimated delivery date mid August. Latest monthly update from dealer - "No build date yet".

Disapointing.

 

Anyone in the UK got any updates ? Ordered sept 2021 and build date has gone March 22, May 22, Sept 22 and now no build date. 
 

any help would be appreciated

The initial estimated delivery date was way too optimistic imho.

I ordered at the very start of October 2021 and was initially told that they were provisionally saying March '22 delivery, however to expect delays. Not long afterwards I got an email from them saying it had now been pushed back to expected September '22 delivery. My dealer has been pretty rubbish at responding to emails, however on 27th April they emailed me out of the blue to say that they have had news that my car was now expected to arrive to them in mid-may. I've taken it with a pinch of salt, but I can't help but think it'd be a pretty stupid move to adjust my expectations forward 5 months if there wasn't really some news.

 

I haven't heard anything else since.

i am date order 21 may  2021 and still waiting ,numerous delivery dates but nothing confirmed.why are the dealers giving delivery dates out for?they know full well the cars are not going to get delivered by them dates.a con comes to mind

I ordered end of Nov 21 with an est delivery date of July 22 (SEL Petrol hatchback).

I was promised monthly updates even if there was no news. I’ve had 2 prerecorded video messages with no news but in the last message the salesman slipped in “I’ve got November pencilled in” which was the first news I’d heard. 
When I read in Jan about the factory fire I resigned myself to poss not seeing the car this year. 
It’s a waiting game but I may have to buy an interim car as my Golf has 165k on the clock now- it would’ve lasted til July but beyond November isn’t going to happen. 

I’ve had two emails from my dealership which didn’t really tell me anything. I now don’t have a car and really struggling to get hold of an interim car that isn’t going to be a total waste of money. Not to sound dramatic but I wish I hadn’t ordered , I was told 16 week wait: not 18 months. 
 

so frustrating.

i am in the same boat,told i would gt my car setember 21,so in my wisdom i sent my lease car back a few weeks early,i had my wifes car so it was no problem getting around.the lease company offered me the car for a further 6/12 months but i said no because i was expecting new car and day.then the wifes car had a total engine failure so that was end of that.now at the moment running around in a egg box for well over 400 pounds a month.hind sight is a great thing if only i kept the other lease car for another year it would of saved a couple of thousand pounds.in suppose thats life in the skodas world. 

My week 20 has arrived, no update from the dealer so far.

So add at least 3 more months of waiting... or more like 6 cause we need to stay realistic 😅🤦‍♂️

I know I should have expected this but it’s still disappointing when it happens…

Octavia VRS IV ordered November 21 with anticipated delivery date of July 22, nicely in time to swap over my current VRS 245 PCH. Contacted dealer last month to be informed it might be 2023 now. Said I could keep my current VRS until the new one arrives, though have to service and MOT it…4 year service requires DSG oil change, spark plugs and brake fluid change. 😩

No build date as yet, dealer keeps giving me a monthly 'no update' update!

My current 245 VRS contract runs until October so at least I can keep it until the new one arrives

Hopefully it arrives before October and you aren’t stung with extortionate service costs to keep it until the new one arrives!

I'll be surprised if it does but my current car is great to be fair so I'm in a far better position than lots of others so I really can't complain 

I've heard some had calls to leave out rear curtains and headlight washers to get their cars faster. Not sure if this affects Style with matrix only.

 

I'm still waiting for june, since dealer said that RS door panels are back in production then. Latest news is that in june, he might have a real date of delivery. Car was on production at february.

No such calls since last December (blind spot detector).
