Yes I thought that too, I just received a text message from the lease company with the reg number. 

Had a reply from my dealer today saying they had been speaking to Skoda and no more IV Octavia models will be produced this year. Currently 3200 outstanding orders. Terrific. 

That might need clarification and is it start no more production of them but there are ones unfinished MY22 car and just requiring parts that will be getting completed.

You mean the hybrid ones or all?

At least any Face Lifts / MY23 are not new models so not new type approvals so from today in the EU do not require the mandatory speed limiters.

Didn't order a hybrid, but it still feels horrible.  😞

It’s been interesting reading on here for a few weeks now. The first signs of a few cars beginning to arrive perhaps. 
It still feels like early 2021 orders are held up though. 
I ordered a petrol hatchback Octavia in November and am fully expecting the 12 month wait. 
My Golf TSI is about to hit 169k- (a perfect time to upgrade if the Octavia had arrived when it was supposed to.) 
As it stands I need to get a new water pump fitted to keep it on the road and hope it passes it’s MOT in Sept. 
It doesn’t help that I’m doing about 2k miles a month.

VAG has huge issues with batteries. They are stopping the production of EV for some time now, due to batteries shortage. Probably related to issues with Octavia PHEV.

New to the forum but thought I would just share my information with you regarding my current order with Skoda.

I ordered an Octavia VRS IV estate on the 17th July 2021 and yesterday after contacting the dealer he confirmed the car was made on 1st July 2022 and was shipped to the port for export to the UK on the 2nd.

He did say there could be a slight delay depending if my car was the first or last for the boat but he did say he is optimistic that I will be driving my car late July to early August.

It's been a long wait as the rest of you can verify on here but at least it's nearly over.

I know the feeling, my current 68 plate Passat Tdi(company car) is at 178k and the VRS needs to turn up soon !  Luckily I’m not paying out of my own pocket to keep it on the road.

 

Im can often do 5k+ a month some months. (Did 650 mile yesterday and today will be 350 ish)

it does look like there is movement on 21 ordered cars.i was told last tuesday that my car was on its way to the uk.they said they would update me on all stages of delivery.then nothing at all i know it is only 9 days since.i did expect a update by now.should of known better and remember we are talking about the wonderful pr team skoda have[must all be on holiday].in any case fingers crossed and hope they are right with delivery this month.

I believe that means that no NEW cars will be produced this year?

 

Parked cars should be built during this and next month.

So if i  understand correctly there are problem with IV, and PHEV. And what about MHEV engines? Also, soon i will celebrate my first year of waiting

I have been having a go at Skoda about delivery times on facebook. Page Skoda Global. under the topic PRO TIPS FOR REACHING YOUR SUMMER DESTINATION SAFE AND SOUND. sorry could not see how to add a direct link.

I am asking for better information for dealers and customers and realistic delivery dates.

 

Please feel free to add your voice and raise any delivery date concerns or delays you may have.

I guess you’re one of the extremely lucky ones 😉

I am pretty sure he is not... There are probably thousands of orders that were completed like his. 

That just shows how Škoda is dealing with orders 👍

 

Meanwhile in 7 days i am getting to a magical number of 15 months of waiting. 

4 of them with car parked somewhere on parking.

I got lucky too… vRS man wagon with Canton & Pano roof (UK) ordered July 21, received Dec 21. I’m not gloating, but haven’t seen any on the roads so far! 
 

FWIW I’d have accepted a 12 month wait as it really hits the spot! 

When I ordered, I was told July/Aug. That suited me fantastic. Now that it's delayed to whenever, the current Leon is due a service, NCT (equivalent to the MOT) and car tax in the next few weeks. I was hoping to avoid those.....

Considering you ordered in Jan, that was quite a lie. That was borderline malicious, but maybe you get lucky.

At the time I had no reason to doubt as a family member just collected their Octavia in Jan that they ordered at the end of the previous August
