I’ve now pulled the plug on my Octavia IV lease.

I would have stuck it out, but my Mum died, and we no longer need the big boot for the wheelchair.

I asked Lings to suggest something PHEV but shorter/cheaper. They told the Kia Niro 2 December delivery. I went down to our local Kia dealer to sit in one, and they had a 2019 plate Kia Niro 3 on the forecourt for £10k cheaper with 17,500 on the clock, so I have reverted to my old approach of buying not too old used cars.

I don’t get keyless entry (it is on the latest iteration), but I can live with that.

My condolences for your loss. I feel you because I am in the same situation as you were/are. My mom died, too, in July this year. Last year when I placed the order, I was hoping I'd be able to drive her in a new car. Sadly she passed prior. I like the Octavia model also because of the large boot, that's why I ordered it. I used the existing car (I would have been using the new one) for the same reason as you, to pack it with a wheelchair and rollator.  I had the same dilemma as you, to cancel the order and buy something smaller and cheaper or keep the order. I decided on the latter. I've been waiting for it for 14 months, and now it has already been confirmed a build date. The existing car I have has quite some years, too, and it's time to upgrade to a new one.

So many things have changed during this waiting period...

Does MY2023 mean I get the facelift model?

No official information about the facelift, so no.

My car arrived last week but I still don't have a pickup date because my dealer still hasn't prepared the paperwork. They HOPE I will be able to pick up the car by the end of this week

I have visited my dealer today, we checked the system and production date is set to 9 week of 2023, so if it goes according to schedule and i 'm luck lol, i should get the car by the end of march. What is really crazy. Car was ordered in august of 2021. So total delivery time will be approx 19 months. :D

Ouch. I see you also have 1,5 e-Tec. Looks like I should expect mine somewhere around April-May or even later, given that I have a few "problematic" options..

I was able to add anything I want to the car till this month. Dealer also said this won't push my order to the end of the waiting list. I added things like heated steering wheel, heated seats, child lock, sun blinds, heated windshield... There was also no request from Skoda about the reverse camera, so it is still in the order. I also don't think cameras are still a problem, because it is again available for order in the configurator.

Mine has been delivered (not yet to me 😁) with reverse camera so yours should be too.

Edit: I just updated the spreadsheet, there haven't been many deliveries 😞

To be honest , as the things go i have doubts that i will get car before summer.  But let's hope for the best.

I don't know if most people are still updating that spreadsheet, but judging by comments here, I am the only one here pushing almost 14 months now without estimated delivery date. Anyone still here whose order date is before mine and is without production date? 😞

I ordered mine august 21 and still no peep out of them. Keeps getting pushed back current working estimate is late november

My order was placed in late March 2022 - VRS 2l petrol DSG estate with DCC and camera.

The order was for a car that was already ordered back in October 2021, I am lead to believe, so I was jumping the queue. The promised delivery of "September 2022 or sooner" is not happening. I have been given a build week now though - Week 40 or 3rd October this year. I will see. Mixed emotions as I turned down a car in late 2021 as I was nervous about buying a car I've never driven - ironically that would almost certainly have been with me by now, instead I waited around 5 months, paid more money, and still ordered one without a drive first. You live and learn... Eek!

Like many, I am frustrated with the wait and have a current car to sell on, but I'm grateful it's mine to sell once the loan is repaid so I can technically wait. Doesn't help that I've had to service MOT and put tyres on it in the mean time but it's no longer worth me pulling out, as I will still want and need a new car. Hugely disappointed to hear about facelift models coming, I would say though that this is so rare on UK roads as far as I can tell, I'm hopeful it won't matter too much. Plus unless waiting times decrease a lot, it'll be another year before they hit the roads I hope. Still - bitter taste in my mouth having heard rumours about it being out next year.

Anyone got a decent few photos of a blue estate vrs to keep me positive in the mean time :)

Cheers all.

Congrats on your purchase and good luck with the delivery 😉 There is a picture thread you can check, it's been silent lately so it's not on the 1st page: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/488077-skoda-octavia-iv-pictures-thread/page/15/

Given the current wait times and expected deliveries for new orders, my guess is that we will wait at least another couple of years before the first facelits start hitting the road

We understand your frustration. I ordered in July 21 and still no car (planned like yours in Week 40), so even if you took over October 21 order in comparison to others, the wait is currently not that terrible yet. For me it is already 14 months since the order. If mine is made by some miracle in week 40 + transport + papers, that will mean almost 16 months till delivery. This is a disgrace. 🤮

Hello!

Somewhat good news I got a build date week 41but nothing else no prediction on posdible delivery.

I made a mistake. Mine is planned in week 43 currently. FML.
