Unfortunately, the train is already gone. It's interesting: until a year ago, car transports were waiting on station for days, but in last few months they are gone in few hours.

I really doubt that all the transport is for Slovenian buyers, since this is the main railway path for Balkan countries and probably also for Greece. But some of them could be "ours" too. I guess they are unloading them at the station near BTC shopping center, few kilometers away from here. If so, they should be at dealers in few days. Fingers crossed, I'm waiting for Kamiq too.

You are correct, they don't know anything and that is sad. One guy that works in a BMW dealership said his work became very sressful, because he needs to keep lying to the customers about delivery time, when they call. 

yeah that is very sad 😞

So after 10 months it looks like I will get the car on the 7th of February. The car arrived to the dealer on 26th of January.

Congrats. I almost wrote lucky you, but waiting for 10 months is not really lucky. 

 

Didn't know there is a 1.9 diesel. At least not in my country. Is this Octavia?

Ah sorry. I'm living in the past decade where every vw or skoda were 1.9 tdi.  Yes it is a 2.0 tdi.

btw, there is only a small part of train on the photo. It's two level and at least few hundred meters long.

 

Where is that train going to? I hope my scala is on there that would be awsome. Don"t have much  hope left up as still no info whatsoever.

Sorry to dissapoint, it is definitely not going to Germany from Slovenia. It is probably going south (Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia...).

115 hp. Currently driving a 1.6 diesel mk3 octavia and I think it is enough for doing 140km/h on highway, so instead of more power I went for better headlights and hopefully better music quality.

If car has not been locked for production (about 3 weeks before assembly), can usually change options. Does not change position in queue.   But if dealer orders another car for you (and keeps your one for someone else) then join end of queue

 

But there are shortages of some parts, if you add option with delays, car will take longer.

 

However opposite might also apply, if you delete something not available, might be earlier (but might be unchanged)

Both these features are also a problem in my car - but the dealer doesn't know how much sooner the car will be built if I take them away....

Seems a bit odd that they need to lie unless BMW are directing it. My brother in law is waiting for an X3, the salesman spoke to him at the weekend and told him that his production date jumps from day to day on their system. It has been moving around in both directions and is the same for pretty much every order on the system. My dad has a Ford Kuga coming and the factory gave a March delivery date and have since moved it forwards to mid February along with most orders they had on the system for March, seems Ford have managed to get their house in order atleast whilst the rest of the market is still scrambling around.
