Hi everybody just joined the forum a few minutes ago, so thanks for allowing me on here and the future comments and advice I receive. Ok here we go, it's time for a change, I've been driving mini's and bm's for the last 15 years now, the current crop just look ugly (and expensive), I've always had a soft spot for the Octavia in particular the vRS, so one of my options is the new vRS, (preferably manual but I'm not averse to the DSG) does anybody own one yet and be able to give me some advice as to the ride, handling the way it pulls and drives, has any part of the drive train steering, suspension etc been carried over from the old one. what's the digital dash perform like, How often do they need servicing, is the service pack worth having ? and the DCC is that worth the £900+ option, and generally is it as good as it looks even with those 19' wheels. I only cover 5000 to 6000 miles per year so would be looking at a petrol version. At the moment my only other option is an xe Jag but have too many reliability issue's and depreciation is also very poor. Once again many thanks for your comments and advice.

I imagine your about to get a lot of replies from people that are having issues with the infotainment system and sat nav, but I believe they have mostly been resolved with the newly built cars so a factory order should be better.

I have a vRS 245 DSG Estate on order with the DCC option. From the reviews the DCC is great and makes the ride on the 19's a lot smoother with the option of stiffening it up for a bit of a joy ride at times. I also got the first 2 services in for £169 so that's worth looking at. As I say mine is still on order so I can't comment on the way it drives

yes it does seem the newer build cars come without the issues, i dont have a vrs so cant comment but from they guys who have the vrs say they are perfect

I've a petrol dsg vRS and loving it so far. Picked it up in January and only properly stayed driving it this week. Few software niggles but nothing major

Tell you what ive noticed , i get more looks and wows in this than i would have in an S3 OR 4 or a top end beemur. Its a great feeling when you put the boot down in sport. It feels as if the car recoils like a spring then goes for it. Only downside coming from a 190 dsg Superb is the fuel economy. Best ive seen so far is 32mpg, hopefully that will improve as ive only done 1200 miles.

So , better looking than the GTI , rarer than all the Audis and Beemurs plus all of those A class mercs. Had mine for 7 weeks havent seen another and i like it like that.

That’s what I like, I’ve only actually seen about five new shape Octavias and only one white vRS, I like that rare element.
Factory just needs to pull its finger out now and build mine soon 🤞🏼🤞🏼

They are rare while Skoda Dealerships have not delivered many during periods of locksdown and while dealership employees are not scooting about in them.
