Would those rims fit on my octavia?

Featured Replies

Hello again everyone.

I own a 1.4 tsi of 2016 (so not the RS version)

A friend of mine got old insignia to sell.

Usually i am not into that kind of things, but god they are gorgeous ! o_0

Thing is these are 19 inch.

Is it safe ?

I mean aren't they too big?

will i still be able to take bumpers or road holes without my wheel touching the fender liner or the car body ?

Second question

I would need some wedges to go from 5x112 to 5x120.

and it seems the center hole is bigger too.  should i put a centreing ring? in plastic or should i go for one in alloy too?

is it doable or is it too risky ?

(sorry for my english)

regards

PERSONALLY, sounds like a bit of a hassle. The other thing is what ET are they?

Oups forgot to tell that

Its 8.5jx19 ET41

ET would be ok.

112 to 120 stud pattern, got to be some sort of adapter?

Then there's the spare wheel.

I think the fact that I'm the only person that has posted anything, sort of tells you something.

A quick Google finds many 5x112 to 5x120 adapters (many on eBay and Amazon) BUT they are also spacers of 15 or 20mm - so that needs to be taken into account when looking at the ET.

An effective offset of 26 (with the adaptor) with an 8.5 width shouts no unless you really want a fat stance. Put the figures into will they fit and then measure what you have already. I'd guess it would stick out too far.

Just for consideration 19x8.5j et43 with 20mm spacer works for the rear, it’s a really wide stance though that you may / may not like. However it will definitely push the wheel past the arch on the front with either a 15/20mm adaptor/spacer; it’s likely to cause issues and also look really weird.

Thx for the answers everyone

My calculations related to the ET were false then. For me issues would not comes from that, more from the bolt/wedge link or thé fact a 19" is just  too big.

It s good i asked.

But damn they looked sexy ^_^

That's not true - in some markets the vRS is offered with 19" wheels.

As above, my vRS came with factory fitted 19" wheels so they definitely fit ;)

There are called the xtreme and have the following spec:

- 7,5J x 19"

- ET51

- 5x112 PCD

- 57.1 centre bore

Which are normally fitted with a 225/35 R19 tyre if I remember correctly

Hi N, not being funny, actually yes i am, if you love them that much, take a picture of them, get it enlarged, frame it, and hang in the garage, it will be much cheaper in the end.

Then find some Skoda specific wheels with a lower et than normal, it will be alot less hassle. Thats what i did after fitting some none Skoda wheels. 👀
