Radio station logos

Featured Replies

Does anyone else find that the logos don’t load up first time but when ylu change station they randomly start to appear?

Main question is how do I update the logos? E.g. capital fm has no logo?

Not convinced by that site. The GPS update instructions say to load the updated files onto an SD card. The Mk4 doesn't have one...

I downloaded the radio station logos and put them on my USB-C memory stick - both zipped and extracted for completeness. The ones I want (Classic FM and Heart) aren't in the list but I have them saved from elsewhere so I copied them over to the same folders.

In the relevant set-up page, I don't see any option to pick the image from the USB memory.

I think there was a previous thread on this.  From memory the logos are broadcast on the DAB stream but not every radio station/group of stations does it so some (like Classic FM) aren't there.

I also find sometimes the logos load, sometimes not, it's random but possibly due to reception strength?

Cheers. Seems like a backward step not to allow custom logos from USB.

Yep, know what you mean. If I start the car, the current station logo doesn’t show. But if I select another station, then go back to the first, the logo appears.
I’m sure that at some stage there’ll be a software update to sort it.

Some of the newer stations may be missing from this file but the majority should be there including some now obsolete ones.

Why not create your own Logo's. My daughter wanted her dog and this is the result.

How have you got the images into the system? I don't see any option to choose a file from my USB drive.

In Radio mode go to settings. There you can find the option Logo.

But I only see the 'standard' one. I can't see where to import. It was easy on my Mk3.

Dispersing logo problem is very simple. DAB standard specifies that each station should transmit logo (ETSI TS 102 81). If DAB station is not transmitting logo you CAN'T add it manually. When it seams that logo appears, it is only because the radio lost DAB reception and switched to the FM (you can notice this in the underground garage or tunnels) and then it will display the logo from local database in the infotainment.

So when you don't see a logo on your favorite station you should complain to them or just disable DAB and use FM only.

But @Dietcokelight68 has added their own custom logos, and I was able to do it in my Mk3, but can't work out how to in the mk4.

Doesn't look like mk4 infotainment on his picture.

It's not, you could do it previous versions but I can't seem to do it on the Mk4

Please let me correct you. The images that you see from the dog are on DAB and on stations that had their logo being broadcasted but you can delete them and replaced by whatever.

I think the point is that the image you have posted is from the Mk3s radio system and not the newer Mk4 version. In the Mk4 you are unable to change the logos.

Thank you.  I did it.  The update works.

If only it was that simple for the rest of us..... One of the biggest bug bares for me that you cannot add radio logos in the mk4 with Infotainment..... The wife's 2019 Fabia Colour Edition has the option but the car that cost double the price doesn't. 🙄

I have the same car. The update works, but without any great effect. I can understand your disappointment.
I found a lot of station logos (stations from my country), but I can't use them, because there is no known way (so far) to pass them to infotainment

Does anyone know where I can download the latest radio logos package? I have a lot of radio stations with no logos at all even after updating to the latest software.
